Hill pressure tipped the balance on Rice
GOP lawmakers told White House stance �untenable�

President Bush�s decision yesterday to allow his national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, to testify publicly and under oath before an independent panel investigating the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks was prompted at least in part by concerns among senior lawmakers in the House Republican caucus.

I'm sure when they read the poll that said 76% of the American people had at least heard about the Richard Clarke thing, they FREAKED!

Yea, the Pubs from the Hill put some pressure on, but they also told Shrub that he better get it together or THEY'RE ALL OUT OF HERE!
