Everyone who is upset about murder in Iraq...
First, let me say that I am appalled that any human being could treat any other human being with such a lack of respect.

Now on the the real issue at hand, I have heard too many pro-war nuts saying.... "How COULD they? Don't they know we're here to help them?"
These are the same people who said are also the same people who were saying that "The Iraqis aren't attacking us... It's the outsiders"
(Just like the segregationists in the south were saying "It's not OUR Negroes who are agitating.. it's these liberals from up north")

Either way this attack tell them something they did not want to hear, change is coming! and in the case of Iraq it says...... Yankee, GO HOME!

1. Chickenhawks do not understand warfare
They only know the bravery found behind their microphone.

2. I remember during the early bombing in Afghanistan
several freeper types objecting to the objections whenever there were bombings that hit civilians with the simplistic response: "It's war, what do the expect" (Completely missing, of course, that the civilians have been victimized time and time again for the past 20 years by wars, warlords, the taliban, and then the US bombing - and the civilians had not invited the bombing.

I find the atrocities of yesterday horrifying.

However if I were to hear anyone who had used the "its war.. what do they expect" line per civilians in Afghanistan... It would take all my power not to respond in similar fashion - even though I do find the acts atrocious - given these were private contractors who did chose to be there and did chose to work in a war zone.

3. murder?
What "murder" are you talking about? I would hardly call the ambush killing of four mercenaries illegaly occupying one's country to be murder. As for the mutilation, those merc bodies were in no worse shape than the average cluster bomb victim. If there's one thing americans should know, when you invade someone's homeland (be it the Apache nation or Vietnam), the occupants get pissed off!

4. Tell the pro war nuts to think about it this way...

Put aside for a second all those MSGOP, faux news, cnn whore polls that try to tell everyone how much everyone loves the shrub. Lets get real here for a second and remember that the majority of Americans didn't even vote for b* BEFORE he tanked the economy, got us into an unwinnable war, loaded more crippling debt onto our shoulders, and alienated us from world opinion.

That said, suppose another country had just invaded us, to "liberate" us from the shrub, hauled GWB off, then cashed in all our stocks, gold, treasury bills, and started hauling away natural resources, all the while standing back and allowing our country to fall into complete depths of chaos, despair, crime, 70% unemployment, AND to top it all off, decided that their ways would now be OUR ways. I doubt you'd find one person with half a spine here at DU that would miss an opportunity to murder these invading infidels, and we would probably do a hell of a lot worse than hang them from bridges.

Then ask them what these "ungrateful Iraqi assholes" did to us. Hopefully they are not the 70 or so percent of completely brain dead, gullible Americans who are buying into what the Bush administration is ramming down our throats, not only about phony WMD, but also that Saddam and bin Laden are in cahoots. If they are (and the law of averages says they probably will be) part of the gullible mass, you may need to educate them in that:

It's very well known that Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein are NOT allies, because Saddam is not a "true" Muslim in the extremist eyes of bin Laden. Heck, Saddam Hussein has not even shown any interest in working with Al Queda against their common enemy, the United States.

9-11 was not perpetrated by Iraq. They were Saudi and Egyptian nationals. Their failure to educate themselves on these facts, and letting the government spin department mislead them into supporting this phony war because of that false reasoning, means that all those killed on 9/11, were killed in the name of NOTHING.

Finally, they need to educate themselves. Read a book. Turn off the TV, and quit getting your information from U.S. Government approved propaganda sources. Take some time to think before they act, and when they act, do it like they know what's really going on. Tell them to go to a library. Read some history. Read some philosophy. Our country is suffering from "brain-drain", and we need to start winning back people to the progressive side of thinking while we still have the freedom of speech to do so.
