"I am not going to attack a friend." John McCain on CNN
Wolf Blitzer (seriously, he had to have made that name up) just attempted to bait John McCain into attacking John Kerry during a live CNN interview. Here's my transcript, per Tivo:

Blitzer: Let's briefly talk about domestic politics for a moment, this being an election year. Your good friend John Kerry is running for president. Many of the Republicans, and the Bush-Cheney team, argue he is not strong on national security, but you disagree with them on that. Tell our viewers why.

McCain: (frustrated) "I've been through this before, Wolf. Look, I'm just not going to attack a friend of mine. He can defend his own voting record. I disagreed with John Kerry on the vote to fund Iraq, and that was a disagreement we had. But I am just not going to attack a friend."

Blitzer: "Clarify, once and for all, the vice presidential running mate slot, you're asked all the time. Are you categorically telling us now that you're not interested?"

McCain: "I am categorically telling you that, Wolf."

1. What you expect from a half rate reporter you should listen to Jack
Cafferty in the mornings on the 6am show. He's been saying a lot of stuff about the liberal media this and the liberal media that.

I gave it five stars on Amazon. Unfortunately, the section "Books read by people who read this mind" now includes a bunch of porno

His neck is all swollen again. I hope it's not a recurrence of the cancer he had before.

11. CNN has become Fox-Lite
I always knew Wolfie was a GOP whore but now the fact is all of CNN is now..
I really did not believe it till Letterman exposed the fact that CNN is nothing more than another arm of the White House..Not objective AT ALL..They have lost a defender and a viewer.
Cable news R.I.P. It was a nice experiment.

12. MSNBC is FoxLite
CNN, being the oldest of the 3 propaganda stations, is more akin to the parent of two teenagers, desperately trying to be hip by dressing the same and using the same slang as their offspring. Invariably, they come across as clumsy and oblivious in their self-humiliation just like those kinds of parents do.

14. LESLIE BLITZER REPORTS! doesn't have the same ring, eh?
How can you take yourself seriously with a name like "Wolf"?

"Oh hi, Dudley... I'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine - his name is Wolf."

"Sounds like a real douche bag."

"Oh, don't worry - he is."

15. Another curiosity: Gerald Ford's real name
is Leslie Lynch King, Jr.

Bob Hope's real name was Leslie, too.

Guys named Leslie seem to change their names these days.

So he had no say in his name, to be fair.

But wingnut John Wayne's real name was Marion.

18. Wolf is just doing his job as Pravda Whore
The Busheviks are VERY concerned with neutralizing McCain as a potential VP Threat.

That is why they sent Wolf's lazy ass This Week's Blastfaxes and that's why Wolf attacked just as the faxes recommended.

Can a nation with such a media remain even partially free for much longer.

Though I am working hard to make it not so, I ahve my doubts.
