CNN Anchor Jack Cafferty Pleads Guilty to Leaving the Scene of an Accident
Edited on Thu Aug-07-03 12:38 PM by roughsatori
I looked and did not see this posted here, sorry if you've already scene it. The right-wing "do as I preach , not as I do" is in action again. If you get to the end Cafferty's lawyer says he handled this responsibly. Yes, running from the scene of an accident you caused is always responsible behavior. (Edited to add 5th sentence to prevent deletion): Cafferty is one of the idiots always talking about having the grown-ups in charge--his hypocrisy is astounding.

CNN anchor Jack Cafferty will pay a $250 fine and perform 70 hours of community service after pleading guilty to leaving the scene of an accident, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Cafferty had been charged with the traffic infraction, along with misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, assault and harassment, after police said he knocked a man off a bike with his Cadillac on May 14.

A traffic officer and about five pedestrians ran after Cafferty's car to stop him after the accident, but Cafferty drove through at least two red lights and around other vehicles without stopping, according to a police complaint.

1. That's what they're getting for hit-and-runs these days?
Oh, I forgot for a moment that I lived in Imperial Amerika.

One Law for the Imperial Family, Capos, and Buttons...no law

One Law for White Aristocrats (wrist slap)

One Law for Black Aristocrats or White Aristocrats with a Media-Friendly Victim (ie a white guy with a family, an attractive blonde, a kid (here it gets weird...could go to either extreme...wrist slap to oversentenced...media is a funny thing)

One Law For the Rest of the Imperial Subjects (Mandatory Minimum Sentencing, etc.)

3. If I had to be chased by a mob
as I was dragging the bike of the person I hit under my car--I think I would be facing jail time. And I have no criminal record at all.

2. AND running two red lights and fleeing from a police officer?
He should have had his license revoked and done jail time! If this had been a black driver, the police would likely have done a high speed pursuit.

4. Ah yes. The power of Federalist Judges.
They overturn Ollie North and Poindexter's convictions and let McCafferty off with a slap on the wrist.

Just don't try breaking the law (or following the law for that matter) if you're a dem

7. $250 is pocket change for a guy like Cafferty, who's probably

laughing about the easy "punishment" he got. He's a thoroughly unpleasant person.

Will CNN take any action against Cafferty?

9. He's tainted and should be fired from MSNBC! Standards, Standards!
Why should "network people" be allowed to have lower standards than sports celebrities or politicians.

Fire Jack Cafferty.
