Your predictions for tomorrow's March employment number.
Make an educated prediction or like Larry Kudlow, just make it up. I find his digraceful shilling for the WH to be obscene in the extreme. The tax-cutting Mr, Kudlow, his own of course, has been consistently wrong for the past several months. We're talking about a man who has been off by roughly 175,000 jobs each month for the past 6 months. Yikes! No wonder his tax policies aren't working.

Remember, you can predict job growth or job loss. Since last month was +24,000, I'll go with a GENEROUS +82,000. But what the hell do I know. I've been waiting for the BLS to fudge the numbers and have been surprised that they haven't. Will March be the big boom in the job market or just a big bust?

1. Basically just heard some twit on the Stock Exchange floor
saying people were expecting numbers to be up, etc. The thing that is going to be maddening in a few months is when employers put on the usual summer help in all the tourist areas. These are short term employment with lousy wages and they will hype that GOD Bush turned it all around and the economy is now chugging at full speed....unfortunately, too many Americans will believe them.

4. It's just that they have been so consistently WRONG.
The "people" were expecting the numbers to be up every month for the past six months. Even I'm predicting that they'll be up. However, when you need something like 130,000 jobs each month just to keep up with the population growth, I'm not that optimistic.

3. 156,000
You can bet Elaine Chow will fudge the numbers eventually for king George one of these reports. She is pathetic. Last summer when we lost over fifty thousand, she was like with a shrug of her shoulders "Oh well they are hiring in health care"

5. Why not fudge them earlier?
Why wait until now? Even *'s father was producing jobs toward the end of his presidency, but it was too late to change the perception.
