Two Thumbs Up for the Passion...

According to an article in the International Herald, Yassir Arafat has given his approval to the movie Passion (I am not making this up). I'm sure Mel is thrilled.

1. The Passion is extremely popular throughout the Middle East.

I'm sure the fact that it's perceived as being anti-Jewish here in the West is part of the appeal in that region. Charming.

5. I was thinking the same thing when I heard a news story about

a Saudi Muslim cleric blaming the recent drought on "sinful behavior". This guy is truly Pat Robertson's soulmate.

3. southpark reamed gibson good

of course, the show is obscene and filthy and vulgar, but sometimes they really nail it. they had the boys going to get their money back from gibson after they'd seen 'the passion'. they thought it really sucked, and you should get a refund in america when something sucks so bad.

they portrayted gibson as a jew hating maniac who loves to be tortured. cartman took the passion to be a call to eliminate all jews from the world, and started sporting a hitler suit and taking on a german accent. it was wacky.
