Why does Candy Crowley always play devils advocate for bush*?
She talks about Kerry flip-flop but no mention of bush* flip-flopping all over the place. Rice testimony being the most recent. CNN truly needs to teach it's "news pesonalities" what a journalist does.

5. I thought the nickname was "dulce"
= fractured Spanish for 'candy'.

Lots of apocryphal stories from the 2000 election cycle about Ms. Crowley swooning over Bush like a lil' schoolgirl.

...and can we all keep the criticisms on her bad journalism instead of her build? Thanks...

6. Where's calimari with the media list ?
Please call or email CNN and ask this question. Sure, it may do no good, but if the media never hears from us, they assume we're not here.

11. I've been considering giving up CNN also.
I might want to watch Lou Dobbs, though. Really, aside from Begala and Carville, I can't think of anyone on CNN I want to watch. Blitzer's voice and speaking style have really been getting on my nerves. Their polling sucks.

I think I just talked mself into giving up CNN (but i might watch CNN International on weekends or Headline News sometimes).

13. She's a Repub activist
The first national interview I saw with Bush was by her, in 2000. I tuned in hoping for hardball questions, or even softball questions on hard issues. At this point, I knew Bush was an idiot (I've watched him in Texas since his Rangers days), and was just waiting for the media to expose it.

To call what she did a puffpiece would be inaccurate. More of a commercial. She asked every question in a way that would set up a flattering answer, stuff like "People say you have no foreign experience, but as governor of Texas, you dealt with Mexico. Tell us about the successes you had with them." The whole time Bush spoke, the camera would cut to Crowley, who would be wearing an expression of infatuation and awe.

That's when I tunred against CNN. With Clinton, I always figured they were conservatively biased, but mostly sensationalist. With the Crowley interview, which had to be set up, had to be filmed and edited to get the required effect (which was similar to Hitler's prop pieces), had to be approved, and had to aired, I knew that all pretense at journalism was over, and that they were simply running PR for the Republicans, and for Bush specifically.

MoveOn shouldn't be protesting Bush for the media to see, they should be protesting the media in front of the major media headquarters for the world to see. If the media were not corrupt, Bush would be exposed as naked within five minutes.

16. more circa 2000
...and remember when CNN initially called Florida for Gore? Soon thereafter, they cut to Crowley and she looked absolutely stricken - ashen faced, distraught, almost weeping on camera.

And this is someone who CNN calls a "Senior Political Analyst"!

Now Crowley is back on the campaign trail ripping into Democrats and the Democratic party with a vengeance. She always seems to 'find' stories about droves of Democrats who are stubbornly voting for Bush*.

Sickening. She's the worst of the worst.
