if Kerry loses, I will explode. I hate defeatism. And to even think about anything but a Kerry sweep is not only defeatist, it is asinine.

I have said it before and I will say it again. Bush cannot win a FAIR election.

Repeat after me: BUSH CANNOT WIN A FAIR ELECTION.

To even conjecture that Bush will win is to concede that Diebold will steal it for him.

I will never make that concession. They will be stopped. One way or another. They MUST be stopped.

1. Agreed
If Kerry loses in 2004, we could run Jesus in 2008 and we'd still get buried by Diebold & co. We can't let it happen.

2. Yup-- defeatist bullshit....
and if we talk at all about '08, which is really too far away to talk about anyway, it should be about Kerry's re-election.

4. i am with you, no close about it
with all the factor of 2000 and gore won, and all the factors now, i do not see a single way there could be any question that it will be anyone but kerry. i just donot. and i expect it to just keep getting worse for bush. and beyond the economy and what happens with that. bush 1 got pinned on economy and it started getting better significantly before election and did him no good.

But I agree that we do not need a defeatist attitude. I've been saying, here at DU and elsewhere, that any of our candidates will beat * in a fair election. I've been saying it for a year, and I stand by that. He can't win fairly. We can beat him with any of our dem candidates. And we will. Our job is to keep the truth in front of the public, and to be willing to battle any flavor of election fraud all the way to inauguration day. Let's not be a victim of the way we see the world.
