I'm not bothering with CNN anymore
I never watch Fox, or CNBC, or MSNBC anymore, but sometimes CNN isn't that bad, but I'm done with them now. I was working out today and the radio was gone and since I basically hate most TV, I just turned on CNN for a little distraction. Anyway, Wolfie was talking to Kissinger and basically Kissinger was defending Shrubboy's record on pre-9/11 terrorism. He said how in hindsight, we should have gone in and eliminated the Taliban and taken out the camps earlier.

All I could think was - Pipeline!!! Ask about the pipeline, stupid! Of course I knew they wouldn't, but it pretty much pisses me off that stuff that most of us have known for two years is just coming out to the mainstream because of Clarke's book. The information has been there all along from many, many sources.

My faith has been sick for a long time, but I think finally, any faith in any mainstream news source is gone. I'm sick of the bull we're being fed and even sicker that so many people keep on believing it.

1. you aren't the only one..

and if I recall, Clinton's missile attacks on al Qaeda training camps were universally condemned by the right, and declared a "wag the dog" distraction from more important things, such as the national crisis of consensual sex

I guess Wolfie didn't bring that up either... :eyes:

3. I remember it well
It was the first thing I thought of back in September 2001 when the right's spin started on how this was President Clinton's fault. I remember those right wing pundit fools back in August 1998 saying it was a "wag the dog" to distract from his testimony he gave on the Lewinsky matter. (As the "journalists" kept saying 'bahhhh- bahhh' like the sheep they are!)

6. there was even an office email chain letter about that..
"thanking" Clinton for all these alleged things, including teaching us that "wag the dog" was more than just a movie..

I even got that from my dad :eyes:

if it ain't on CSPAN, stay away from it. That's medicinal advice! :)

2. Good call`
I haven't heard one of the alleged journalists ask about the pipeline.

After reading the book Taliban I've waited and waited for some journalist: HELL ANY JOURNALIST to bring the subject up.

Had to turn CNN off today too...they're going over the cliff....

4. I yell at the TV
Drives me nuts. Most people won't know until the powers to be want it known for some reason. Real information can't be trusted. I think we all laugh at the term of "liberal media".

5. I'm with you........
I went thru withdrawal a year ago or so and I did better. But I went back to them when something happened(can't remember what) and I've been mad every since. Wolf is just pathetic.

I wish we could get our guys to flat out refuse to go on their stupid shows. I mean without our side, they can't have any fun. I don't think they should be rude about it. They should just say they can't make it or something. These so-called hosts just bring our guys on their shows to make fun of them. And they keep going back for more!

Dean has started to really tell them off. That would work too if the others would do the same. Really, why do they keep going back for the abuse?

I'm going to quit them again too. Thanx for the inspiration!

8. I know what you mean
I still remember investigative reporting and keeping government on its toes and honest as much as was possible. What happened? When did toeing the line become journalism?

10. I used to be a CNN addict...
but I can't even watch it anymore. Ever since I saw Judy Woodruff bark her questions at the Democratic candidates when she hosted one of the debates, it makes me ill. She is the worst. She actually turned her back on them as they were trying to answet her biased questions, which were written by the RNC, as far as I could tell. What arrogance!

:hi:

Yes, I swear they do have scripts prepared by the RNC. It's pretty blatant sometimes.

15. Ever since my hubby got me satellite radio for my B-day...
last November, I have decided that listening to liberal radio keeps me much calmer than watching CNN, MSRNC, or Faux News. I like watching the Daily Show, though. The last refuge of the liberal Democrat.

16. Haven't watched Corporate TV Pravda for 3+ years
(but for very small exceptions, such as 9-11 and once in a blue moon otherwise)

and it feels GOOD!

Never subject yourself to Pravda. It is corrosive to the mind and soul. I sometimes think CNN is worse than Faux because they are abusing the trust in that some independant thinkers still look at them as impartial.

But they're not, are they? Quite grotesquely the opposite.

17. CNN was on the gasoline pump where I got gas today and
there was a really sick graphic piece about the torture of Jesus. I was really upset and complained to the man behind the counter, and plan on never getting gas there again.

IMHO, CNN is part of the neocon plan to make us all bloodthirsty instruments of war. I wonder if there is a special section in hell reserved for media whores like most of the CNN staff.

20. Here! Here!
I used to work for ABC. While they're not as bad as CNN or FAUX, they're still pretty bad. I quit as a matter of conscience. I encourage every patriot to just boycott this propaganda. We've got the internet, Pacifica, and now Air America to turn to when we want news. As someone who has worked in the media people, I can tell you that if we all just tune out this garbage and give our support to the outlets mentioned above, you will see the last of this crap before too long.
