"Sir..." "Who you talking to?" "Uh, Mr. President..."
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 11:13 AM by Stephanie

Snippy has lost it! Are you watching this? He's cracked!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*Edit to add alg0912's transcript of the remark (from post 14 below):
He was taking questions from reporters in NC when this exchange took place:
Bush: Who's the AP reporter?
AP reporter: Here...
Bush (with a sneer): ...then ask your question.
AP: Sir, what...
Bush (another sneer): Who are you talking to?
AP: I'm sorry... Mr President, what... (and asked his question)
23. Yes, he is on drugs. 99.9% chance.
He is a prescription pillhead, now that for illusion;s sake he can;t swill booze or snort coke.
Though I suspect he does those things occasionally, too.
Who would stop him? Who amongst the weak and lickspittles that pass for the "Free Press" :puke: would have the balls and bravery to report it, even if they had proof.
The ONLY person I have yet to see who hasn't caved to the Imperials is Clarke.
Not a good record if you are trying to guage whether we as a nation have the guts to Restore the Old Republic.
Not good indeed.
There was never ment to be only one
Ummm...wasn't the rationalization "national security" a few days ago? So, executive privilege is more important than an informed populace, more important than the truth, more important than national security even.
AP: Sir, what...
Bush (another sneer): Who are you talking to?
What a sanctimonious ASS!!!
He also corrected a reporter who asked a question about his testifying before the 9/11 commission, saying, "we're not testifying, we're meeting with the commission."
I hate that son of a bitch sooooooo much! :grr::grr::grr:
I think we'd grown accustomed to seeing powerful arrogance have the wisdom to hide behind a gracious mask.
But Bush, he puts it all out there. There's no mask.
It's madness. Terrifying, in-your-fucking-face madness.
123. You nailed it Minstrelboy! Great topic Stephanie
This is so indicative of the madness of this King George. It reminds me of that scene in the movie "A Few Good Men". When Navy lawyer Tom Cruise is questioning Jack Nicholson in the courtroom and Nicholson, acting as Colonel Jessup, goes into "command mode". Jessup tries to get Cruise to stand down by "pulling rank".
This scene from that movie is a classic on the bipolar mentality that a fascistic whacko has. Bush is obviously suffering from a similar disorder. He does not understand the "grey areas" of a democracy. Bush is losing his composure. Snapping at a reporter over a minor point of protocol when we are in the midst of a horrendous disaster like Iraq is a good sign that Bush is out of it.
Bush HAAATES the media!
56. Yes he does
I recall one time he was bumbling through an answer, long pauses and stuff, and the reporter started talking again during a pause. Bush* barked, "Let me finish!" The reporter apologized and shut up, and the little emperor fixed him with a death stare for several long seconds. Then he smirked and said sarcastically, "Thank you," and continued with his rambling.
I can't believe reporters supposedly LIKE this arrogant little jerk.
137. "Walking on eggshells" is a term from Al-Anon and Codependants Anon
Which makes perfect sense with this Chimp.
In those programs, one way to diagnose that you are in an unhealthy relationship with an alcoholic or someone else is that feeling of always having to "walk on eggshells" for fear that otherwise they will explode at you. Very sad that our free press is in the same circumstance.
Didn't she say roughly the same thing to Al Franken when he gave her a wedgie or something? You're Done! or "I'm through with you" - something along those lines.
That family is having delusions of royalty much too frequently these days.
Gergin also said that it doesn't bode well for Condi that both Kean and Hamilton said yesterday that 9/11 could've been prevented!!!
52. Anyone ever see that clip of AWOL meeting with Chirac....
pre 9/11?
It was June of 2001, I think. AWOL was standing at a podium as was Chirac a few feet away. They're both fielding questions from the press..... A reporter says a sentence or 2 to Chirac in French. Seemed like some kind of greeting..... AWOL goes nuts. Says, "are you trying to show off?" to the reporter... and then says a sentence or 2 in.......... SPANISH..... to demonstrate his foreign language skills. Then says something like "See?" I can do that, too."
It was so childish and embarrassing.
I saw it on Imus last Fall. Astonishing piece of film.
154. I'm not sure if this is an accurate transcript, but:
GREGORY: I wonder why it is you think there are such strong sentiments in Europe against you and against this administration? Why, particularly, there's a view that you and your administration are trying to impose America's will on the rest of the world, particularly when it comes to the Middle East and where the war on terrorism goes next? And, Mr. President, would you maybe comment on that?
DUBYA: Very good. The guy memorizes four words, and he plays like he's intercontinental.
GREGORY: I can go on.
DUBYA: I'm impressed -- que bueno. Now I'm literate in two languages.
-- Dubya taking time out of his busy schedule to belittle NBC News White House correspondent David Gregory, and employing his Spanish "prowess" to do so...
Of course most of them LOVED it, but there are some more reasonable people who think that addressing him as "sir" was respectful enough. Then there are those who will clean up for Bush* if he pooped in their corn flakes and they blame his rudeness on a "history" with that particular reporter-- it's always someone elses fault!
In a democracy, the President of the United States works for us. As are the members of Congress.
But since this isn't a democracy (a plutocracy, IMO), that fell by the wayside a long time ago.
86. Don't forget this exchange...
Q Mr. President, can you just tell me -- the 9/11 Commission, the Chairman yesterday, Governor Kean, said a date had been set, I think, for your testimony and the Vice President's. Is that --
THE PRESIDENT: I would call it a
meeting.
Q A meeting, I'm sorry.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you.
Q Has that date been set, and could you share it with us? And number two, can you tell us the rationale as to why you have chosen to testify or rather meet with them with the Vice President?
THE PRESIDENT: First of all, it will be a great opportunity from them to ask both of us our opinions on the subject. And we're meeting with the entire commission. I'm not exactly sure what the status is of putting out the date. I told them I'd meet with them at a time that's convenient for all of us, and hopefully we'll come to that date soon.
I look forward to sharing information with them.
I shake my head with shame, embarrassment, anger and incredulity that *this* is America's chief executive.
106. Far from the worst--
Wish the footage of Shitstain kvelling over mass murder could be found and played as often as we heard about the 'Dean scream.'
Later, just seconds before he went on TV to tell the world war had started, he vigorously pumped his fist and declared: "I feel good." The extraordinary gesture was in stark contrast to the furrowed brow and look of concern he adopted for the subsequent broadcast.
As reported in the Washington Post, the White House is quite peeved that video of Bush getting groomed and acting jolly was broadcast prior to his "we're bombing Iraq" announcement:
The White House is vowing a strong retaliatory response after the BBC aired live video of President Bush getting his hair coiffed in the Oval Office as he squirmed in his chair and practiced on the teleprompter minutes before Wednesday night's speech announcing the launch of military operations against Saddam Hussein.
138. What is the difference between psychopath & sociopath?
Do you know? Definitely antisocial, borderline lunacy. But I'd like to get an accurate diagnosis.
139. And this is in public, imagine behind the scenes
what a little prick this arrogant ass could be? If he's losing it like this in public, he must really be throwing some hellacious tantrums with the reporters gone and the cameras off.
141. Yes!
He's a testy little fuck.
And this is emblematic of his public life as well. You can infer his private behavior from this, but also consider how he projects this sickness out to the whole world in terms of the policies he favors.
Remember they told us he wouldn't really be in charge? But nobody considered the possibility of all the infighting, and that he might actually have to choose between the rivals. 9/11 played right into the neo-cons' hands by evoking a strident, terrified belligerence in the Chimp. He was primed to do as they said.
148. An anecdote of his private behavior
from Suskind's recent book:
In the book, O'Neill says the tone of his relationship with Bush was set at their very first meeting where he was offered the job of Treasury Secretary.
Instead of a detailed discussion, Bush was more interested in why the cheeseburgers he had ordered were slow to appear. He interrupted the talk to summon White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card.
"You're the chief of staff. You think you're up to getting us some cheeseburgers?" O'Neill recalled Bush saying. "Card nodded. No one laughed. He all but raced out of the room."
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/01/14/1073877878127.html
Card is no ordinary minion. He's been a Bush loyalist for decades, and is credited along with Sununu as being instrumental in pulling Poppy's nuts from the fire and ensuring his New Hampshire primary win. No Card, no Bush Presidential Dynasty. That's the guy GeeDub brusquely ordered to see to his cheeseburgers.
