I saw him at his "press conference". Looked like hell.
He certainly shows all the signs of a messianic dementia.

41. Had to look like hell
He had supposedly just come from talking with the family of
a dead soldier. I think that's what the "who are you talking to" remark came from. He had to put on his President suit to remind himself that it is the Oval Office that does nasty stuff like war and not "Sir" or "Mr. Bush"

today's press conference, play it and watch Bush's mouth.

No, not to see if he's lying, but watch when he finishes his comments about not caving in to thugs. .

His lips do that weird tremor thing.

You can see it when he made the "joke" about looking for WMD's, too, at the correspondents' dinner.

(edited for clarity)

42. Mike Shannon was impressed
When he announced the "first pitch" he said it was perfect, catching the corner -- and he wasn't shilling.

I didn't hear boos on the radio -- only applause -- But then they applauded Ray LAnkford, so I am assuming Cardinal fans were giving sympathy applause today.

48. Bulletproof vest, perhaps
The SS men HAVE to be sweating bullets at every one of these little brushes with the "little people."

My personal opinion is that they should get the maker of the Popemobile to make a Booshmobile. He never has to get out of it -- as a matter of fact, I would suggest they put the locks on the OUTSIDE.

22. The boos were loud and all over the place
I was at the game. There were a lot of T-Shirts of protest and two banners unfurled (one said "we can bomb the world to pieces, but never bomb the world to peace" or something to that effect). Most of the people there saw this cheap stunt for exactly what it was. He definitely didn't win new people over due to the insane security that took FOREVER to get through. It was a huge pain in the ass and reeked of a cheap political stunt.

20. I've been screaming it all evening! Drugged! Uppers, probably.
Totally fucked up in his performance in front of the press. Totally! If I had a co-pilot act like he did, in the first five minutes in the cockpit before a trip, I'd be on the jet-way phone to the chief pilot. We are trained in spotting the type of erratic behavior Bu$h displayed in spades today. That doesn't make us (airline pilots) experts, but it does provide for a break in the error chain that links to an airline accident.

Folks, we have a drunk and/or drugged captain at the wheel of state. He is reeling, and slurring, and twitching like a Stew-pot wino. Lets pose a new question in the national polls:

If George W. Bush were an airline captain on a major airline's Boeing 777, would you want him in command of a flight to Europe with you, your wife, and your children aboard?

Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 10:36 PM by enough
They all seem to be standing as far away from him as they possibly can.

And they are all holding their hands in some strange way, as if to keep from getting contaminated.

I'd say he has some seriously bad vibes coming from him these days. Even in these posed photo ops, everybody is cringing away. You see it in all the shots of him these days.
