I would not address Bu$h as "Mr. President" or "Sir"
I would address him as Lieutenant Bu$h, in a voice dripping with anger, scorn and contempt. Since his military career is so unresolved, I would go back to the last rank he had before the expunging, purging, white-washing, and lies put him where he is today. I would say to him: "Lieutenant Bu$h, where were you in 1972 and 1973?" God, I'd love to ask him that question, mano-a-mano.

5. I'd have to choke it out.
Direct commission and he couldn't even handle that. Ann Richards, the great governor of Texas (that Bu$h defeated in 1992) said of his father, George H.W. Bu$h, "Poor George, he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth." Of his son, George-the-Dumb, she should have said: "Poor George, he was born with a silver spoon up his nose."

6. Not many know that Vince Lombardi was a Kennedy Dem....
Too bad coach isn't still alive and had five minutes alone with the wimp. After he had finished with him,dum-dum would be a quivering shooken mess in the corner of the room, curled up in a ball, sucking his thumb and repeating to himself,"Find your happy place...find your happy place"

hold my sign, it will say "hey you".

today re: calling Bush* "sir" or "Mr. Pres.". I'm having server problems and haven't been here since this afternoon, so I haven't heard, just saw an earlier thread title making reference to use of titles.

19. For you too, Compare & Contrast
I guess the media really does have to call Bushbutt "Mr. President" or suffer his wrath.

Let me ask you a couple of questions. Who is the AP person?

Q I am.

THE PRESIDENT: You are?

Q Sir, in regard to --

THE PRESIDENT: Who are you talking to?

Q Mr. President, in regard to the June 30th deadline, is there a chance that that would be moved back?

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/04/20040405-4.html

Every reporter begins with "Mr. President". WTF????

Compare to Clinton:

11. address him as "dear" president bush
I mean, Deer In The Headlights, President Bush

This site claims it will forward your letters to the president.

Dear President Bush

Why can't we just call him?

:silly:

I'd never call him president...it's an insult to the word to use it anywhere near the name George W. Bush.

17. I would. It doesn't bother me to give goober his title. Next year it'll be
...either "Mr. Ex-President" or you can just address him by his number.

But in America we should always respect the office. The president is the people's First Servant and Bush doesn't get out of that obligation just cause he fails to live up to it. Respect doesn't cost me anything whereas being a sarcastic shrill may cost us a swing vote.
