1. Look at that picture
And hum the baddy music that accompanies Darth Vader.

Pretty poor taste I admit but hey! I'm not the President.

2. I wish you'd listen to Rumsfeld...
they're FREE!!! They're free to be oppressed, free to be subservient, and their husbands and fathers are free to oppress them. That's what free people do, don't you know???

10. Are they being forced to march?`
Aren't they saying they'd rather submit to fundamental Islam than the * administration?

11. I am not defending this, but it might be well to keep in mind that
this is a part of the religion. These women believe this. They have perhaps not known anything else.

It is like women in this country who are against abortion--while the rest of their sisters might suffer and die, they will insist upon being marginalized like that, their health concerns controlled by men, and are downright proud to be so diminished and dismissed.

They, like those burqa wearing women of another religion, believe this also. There was a time and I think there still is when women in America had their dress was dictated by men /religion also. The arms were to be covered, women were to wear a hat (head covering ) to mass, skirts, not pants and other restrictions. Then we did have nuns and their unique style of covering up their bodies also. I am not sure if any still wear the tradtional dress.
