The Real Reason the Iraqis resist us and why "W" is Toast.
The war was one thing. Beating Saddam's troops was never in doubt.

Bush wants a puppet gov't there, the Iraqis, looking at how Bush operates and how America is hurting under Bushs brand of Freedom want no part of it. We are our own worse example of Democracy.

In terms of Gov't, W has destroyed whatever good America had.

For that, he is TOAST

6. Yes, we have to vote the Shrub out. Kerry and staff will have plans
for the changes needed to prevent lolos from coming into office and to insure a good gov't is always present.

Government was founded by a group of Radicals who put out seditious flyers and resisted the British by dumping their Tea in Boston Harbor, among other things.

I don't know what they teach in schools anymore that folks can't make a connection that shutting down an Iraqi Newspaper and firing on citizens who were thrown out of jobs by our Invasion would cause some folks to get pretty upset and want to form their "own" government.

It seems obvious, but until folks start calling the Media and polling in higher numbers against Bush and his policies, I think the hypocracy of this Invasion will just go on like the Viet Nam War did. This time it's easier because without the "draft" their isn't really a way to stop this. And, with so many of our "troops" being "mercenaries" it doesn't affect people like when their high school buddies were drafted and came back shot up or didn't come back at all.

It barely touches those folks who watch CNN/Faux/MSNBC. They just turn it off, I think. I'm not as hopeful as you this morning, Opi. Maybe because I see how non-print media has cracked down and has the administration hacks out spinning. And since most folks don't read the international press, I don't think they will ever know how they've been decieved until the bills for this invasion start to affect them in their wallets. Then they will blame it on Clinton just as the said the Clinton Recovery was due to Poppy and Reagan's policies.

Just gloomy this a.m. :eyes:

Guardsmen may not receive education benefits

(Albany-AP) -- National Guardsmen returning from duty in Iraq are finding that the funds promised them for tuition reimbursement are in short supply.
The federal program that is supposed to defray up to 75 percent of their college expenses is broke, with no new funds in sight until this fall.

That's put Oregon National Guard leadership in an awkward position, as soldiers were promised up to a maximum of four thousand dollars per soldier per fiscal year as an enlistment incentive.

Brigadier General Raymond Byrne Junior sent a letter to Army National Guard Director Roger Schultz saying this shortage couldn't have happened at a more critical time.

Currently, 380 Oregonians are receiving the tuition reimbursement, but the recent return of B Company, 52nd Engineers and the imminent return of three more units are stressing the funds further.
