Our day MAY have come, but at what terrible cost --

One poll has Bush at 43% approval; California at thirty-something, down to the die-hard conservatives. AEI Schneider says W's testifying with Cheney doesn't look good. The emperor has no clothes. There's no wizard behind the curtain, just Cheney. The wheels are coming off. Iraq's near, or in, anarchy. The day we've hoped for MAY be here, but, if it has, at what cost, at what terrible cost --

I emphasized MAY be here. I wrote out of the strange feeling that came over me, knowing that even if we do prevail, our country will have paid a terrible price for its sojourn with the Bush cabal.

6. Yeah

This is a tricky one--Limbaugh has been trying to innoculate his audience for a year now, saying that we Democrats want a lousy economy and we want to see a huge failure in Iraq in order to get power again.

On the other hand, it's not like we encouraged President Bush to do stupid things so he'd screw up and we could get office again. As a matter of fact I seem to remember a lot of Liberals encouraging him not to invade Iraq as that would be a big mistake.

8. Actually, most new polls support the 43%

I think four were published yesterday. CNN, Zogby, Pew and another I can't think of. All were bad bad bad for Chimpy.
