I'm running out of energy to oppose the war
Now the war is escalating and the casualties are mounting. I opposed the war from the beginning, and participated in 3 public demonstrations against it. Yet the war happened anyway. I feel like I have done everything I can reasonably be expected to do. The government is going to do what they feel that have to do, no matter how stupid or deadly their course of action appears to be. A substantial number of Americans appear to support this action, though not as many as was the case a year ago. I don't know what to do anymore, and I'm running out of gas on the issue anyway. I refuse to accept guilt and responsibility for this disaster, as I opposed it from the get-go. I have my own responsibilities, a dissertation to write, bills to pay and family responsibilities. I'm running out of gas and I feel more and more like what I say and do in opposition is irrelevant.

3. I know,
it is so frustrating, but then I think of all those soldiers and their families, and I think of all the Iraqis and their families and I realize that I have the easy part.

5. They want us to "run out of energy." I won't give them what they want
because, then they will have worn us down to win. If we'd all been more vigilant maybe the Chimp wouldn't even be there. Now at least we can focus on what he did and have a reason to protest. Before we never could protest anything when Clinton was being hounded.

We must keep up the pressure. What if Martin Luther King had given up because his demonstrations weren't working and people were getting killed in his movement?

No, they want us to give up. It's always the most discouraging before you win because opposition want's you to think you're losing.

7. Now it's time to get angry.
The massive amounts of fighting and death on TV should help with that.

Get unbelievably, uncontrollably, frothing at the mouth pissed. There's your energy.
