New Non-Offensive Thread for discussion of John Dean's Book
Worse than Watergate by John Dean. He's hitting the talk show circuit and issuing some pretty stunning indictments of the Bush administration.

8. Thanks--that is a blistering interview.
DEAN: And 48 hours after he does invade Iraq, he does make the determination, and it is a sick joke. It is the most fraudulent document I‘ve ever seen a president file. I lay it out on the book, I put the—all the details in, it‘s so—I make what, hopefully, is a technical legal argument into a very plain, simple argument because what he‘s done is he‘s taken his own information, some whereas clauses that he gave the congress to—typical stuff, window dressing that goes into any resolution. He says, those are findings of congress.

OLBERMANN: Because he had submitted them to congress.

DEAN: He‘d already submitted them to congress, then he declares them to be findings of congress, and he bases his determination on his own whereases.

I missed the Countdown appearance, but I saw him on Now with Bill Moyers last Friday. I hear he's on Democracy Now today, too. There's still time to catch the rerun: 9 pm Pacific, 6pm Eastern, FSTV on Dish Network channel 9415.

96 posts, and at least 80 of them are about the off-topic argument regarding DemLikr's choice of words.

Incidentally, I caught the last 15 min. or so of the John Dean interview, and yes, he did indeed hand Bush his hind-quarters, nicely wrapped in butcher paper. It was glorious.

Edit: Now up to 123 posts! Pathetic.

3. Up to 146 now
Can't knock this poster for trying to talk about the book. It's about time someone talked about the chimp for who he is. He needs a babysitter.

The books (the people who write them as for being vocal)against this Administration I mean. If only people would read them and use some critical thinking.

5. Thanks for the link. Do you think that the John Dean book will
have more credibility on bush because of his (Dean's) history? Many of the characteristics and behaviors of baby bush that he talks about have been out there for a while and yet few of the so called "moderates" have paid any attention.
