Don't forget how we got into this mess.....
They stopped counting votes when it became obvious that the PNAC Puppet was going to lose the election and the plan would be foiled.

Scanned from a newspaper I saved from the days of the coup.

2. I'll never "get over" 2000.
I a Florida resident, I very carefully and objectively read the Florida Statutes governing recounts and found the Bush team to be arguing counter to them on nearly every point.

They VERY clearly changed the law after the fact, as they so often argued that Gore was trying to do.

They VERY clearly violated Florida election law on numerous counts.

They VERY clearly went against the will of the voter, and did everything they could do to make sure that the will of the voter was never known.

Not to mention the little matter of tens of thousands of (mostly minority) voters illegally purged from the voter rolls. Not to mention the nonsensical SCOTUS "equal protection" decision which, if taken at face value, should have invalidated the entire election (and nearly every election ever held in the U.S.). Oh, but I forgot, it was not to be applied to any other case, ever.

There are reasons hand recounts are the norm in the land (including Texas, where W himself signed a law calling for hand recounts in close elections). No one ever argued about them until Florida 2000.

These people are the most anti-Democratic force in the world today, if only because they stifle democracy in their own land, and enforce "democracy" at the point of a gun in other lands.

To quote George W. Bush from yesterday (ironically not talking about himself):
"This is one person -- this is a person, and followers, who are trying to say, we don't want democracy -- as a matter of fact, we'll decide the course of democracy by the use of force. And that is the opposite of democracy"

3. It ALL goes back to the stolen election --
Margaret Carlson has disappointed us, but I will never forget that she wrote in Time that the Court decision was "an unsigned opinion tossed over history's transom, in the dark of night, like a ransom note penned by Kafka." She was right; the ramifications of that decision are already evident in a history of horror.
