2. To quote a local talk show host here in the metroplex
"They knew the risks when they signed up." The name is Mark Davis, and he made these comments at the start of the war. There are many out there just like him. Cold, sterile, and the ultimate Bush apologist.

15. That's a lie you hear from a lot of "conservatives"....
They didn't sign up for illegal wars and reckless leadership from th eCommander-in-Chief. They did not agree to be human fodder for a megalomaniac. They signed up to defend this country. That is not why htey are in Iraq. So it is a lie.

4. This needs to be sent out to Hannity, Limbaugh and all the conservatives
who support this war. These kids were injured and others have been killed based upon a lie... This slideshow made me cry

13. They made me cry too, Wendy!
I find it hard to believe that the general public cares so little - making these kids sacrifice their lives and their limbs for absolutely nothing but war profiteering!! FUCKING DISGUSTING!!

6. Are there no injured soldiers who feel betrayed by Bush?
This is truly tragic, and I sympathize with the soldiers portrayed in these slide shows, but I got the impression MSNBC hand picked from the wounded to get only those with a pro-Bush message.

17. In MSNBC's defense, there is another explanation:
These soldiers, already horribly wounded, could be prosecuted for making "Disloyal Statements" if they so much as disagree with the war.

I've only watched the first one so far. Had to stop because I get choked up .. but he empathized with the Ira*i people. He understands how they feel. That hardly sounds pro-whoosh. I'll listen to the others as I can. The story of the first one is of a brave young man who has made the best of a disgusting, criminal atrocity.

9. Anyone who believes in prayer please pray for our troops
This is too horrible for words. God,why can't something be done to bu$h for the misery and pain he has caused....just for his own selfish political gain? So many young kids fighting...getting maimed or killed, when they should be enjoying the best years of their lives. Then there is the older soldiers with wives or husbands...kids left at home to wait in fear they may never see their parent again alive. I can't express enough the contempt I have for bu$h and his war mongering thugs. Pray for our troops, and pray we get rid of this trash out of the WH in November. What lowlife scum. :puke:

18. We are fortunate
That the injuries are not as mass as the previous conflicts (Korea,WWII,Vietnam). I cry every time I see a soldier suffer. What is worse is that these Guard members are basically disposable soldiers because they can be released from active duty at any given moment. Active duty soldiers, at a minimum can get a medical discharge and have Medical treatment with Army or Va benefits.
All of this is brought to you by the greed of the mighty dollar. Save money use the National Guard.

I am a member of the Disabled American Veterans in the latest issue the Va Annual budget was released and the DAV is not happy with the lack of a budget. On average, it takes me 6 months to get an appointment. It got so bad that I got fed up and went to my private doctor. I figured that my seat can go to someone that does not have health care.

I am disappointed that Bush beats the war drum but yet tells the VA to go pound sand. I still remember the meeting he had with the vets during the Afghanistan campaign and what he said to them. We need to keep our promise to our veterans.

No matter how I personally feel, I will never tell a soldier that he lost his legs in vain because he answered the call of duty and he served his country honorably. I remember stories of how my uncle was spit on when he came back from Vietnam. That is just as evil as war itself.
