who was a British Fundamentalist! A religious fanatic against a muslim religious fanatic (Mahdi).
Rent it! Those of you who don't know what I'm talking about. If you want to understand (granted it's Hollywood) but it deserves a look if you want to have something which will peak your interest in what happened to the British in Middle East and why the British needed to get out! British "General Kitchner" and Arrogance of thinking one could subjugate the Middle East to control Egypt and Sudan. They thought a "domino theory would occur (Nixon and his "Domino Theory) and that Egypt and then Sudan would fall. So they invaded with not enough troops and relied on a religious fanatic.
It's about battle and strategy and "fundamentalism" on both sides. Have any of you seen this?
When I heard CNN referring to Al-Sadr as Mahdi...I had to take notice and realize that I need to go back to that movie.
