An "Easter Surprise" for the Bush admin?
There was some speculation back around December regarding when things in Iraq would go to hell in a handbasket, and our shores would see another "terrorist attack" to give Bush the boost he needed to proceed to the next stage of the PNAC plan.

My suggestion was that it would happen on Easter, that holding a certain significance for all those staunch Christians who are expecting to march at Jesus' right hand with their automatic weapons at the ready.

Well, here it is four days to go...Iraq is erupting, American troops are dying by the dozen daily, and Bush is once again vacationing in Crawford.

Is it time to invest in plastic sheeting and duct tape?

2. I don't think a terrorist attack would help Bushco.
They can't argue that another attack hasn't happened amongst other lame talking points.

5. I think it might...

In times of major crisis, we rally around the leader, no matter who. That's not to say someone else would be elected, but it would sure stop criticism of * short term. And if things are bad enough, it might be too risky to hold elections, but I digress...

3. I Posted This On Another Thread, But I Think Yes...
And it involves Condi's testimony tomorrow. I don't think she will testify. My guess is that with the escalation of events in Iraq, the administration is going to create some horrid diversion in order to take attention away from ALL CONDI ALL DAY and have their media lackeys cover whatever is going on in Iraq. My guess is that the administration is going to claim that Condi is needed at work due to the troubles and will not have time to take to the commission.

4. Tricky
but you may not be too far off - they've got to do something to hold onto power - I was thinking they may plan a "terrorist" attack where ever the 9/11 Committee is being held - just right before Bush/Cheney are to testify - kind of a two for one, kill off a bunch of congress critters and senators and then get their secret gov up and running and not have any of that messy 9/11 stuff to worry about, nor the election - and just continue to destroy the Middle East - of course the draft will have to be reinstated immediately after the next terror attack as well as marital law.

If we don't get these guys strung up soon for treason and war crimes, it is going to be too late I fear.
