"Boys are Stupid - Throw Rocks at them" t-shirt parody re: Republicans
We're getting a lot of guff from freeper types over our Parody t-shirt design :)

Don't know if you've seen the original at http://www.davidandgoliathtees.com/new/lines/default.asp?category_id=1
but they were getting sued over their "Boys are Stupid - Throw Rocks at them" T-shirt - the complaint was that someone might actually DO THAT to boys..

Do you need to actually give out disclaimers with T-shirts now?

Anyway, my wife created this parody and we're wondering if Take Back the Media might get sued (once again) by Riecht Wingers over it -- we've been attacked once again by Talk Radio Network since their big Michael Savage suit against us (many donated to help us during that suit and we wholeheartedly thank you one and all!) last year..

Might as well be working for Air America if I'm going to get sued by TRN all the freaking time - hey, maybe Air America wants a promotional T-shirt?

Should we send one to our pal Janeane Garofalo?

Here's where to get some if you want.

there's been a polorizing of the genders, getting meaner at an ealier age. who would buy their little girl a shirt advocating violence?

as for the the republicans are stupid version. fine, we're adults... but there are so many FUNNY shirts to make. This one is below us.

Grab the brown rice and green tea, let's head out to the hybrid car and we'll practice apologizing! ;)

Can we make a 'Republicans are stupid, throw lit M-80s at them' shirts?

Or is that too wordy?

6. touchy feely sensitive doesn't get anywhere
the problem with progressives are that they're so concerned about being actual human beings - which is commendable on a personal level. but on a political level, this makes us roadkill... add that to the overwhelmingly conservative media that continually promotes progressives as being uncool get-a-job loser hippies.

the conservative movement afoot doesn't care about you, your constitutional rights, whether you're going to die on the street from unemployment and no health care... and they will step right on you to achieve their agenda.

we can't be timid about getting the message out that progressives are not only cool, but true patriots concerned about their country and planet. this means we need to capture as much of the media as possible, GOOD OR BAD. there is NO BAD PR.

get the freepers screaming... the conservative media is going to be critical of us no matter what - we just need to get more of the message out however we can.

these t-shirts have the potential to get some attention. this is good.

Edited on Wed Apr-07-04 03:56 PM by seabeyond
and i dont hate many things. generally i can see a greater in all things. gosh, for my two little ones to read something like that. and we are already screwing up our boys so much as it is in many ways, they certainly dont need to shoulder this too, further

see how much i hate it

we just dont group people and talk about people that way and never would i allow that kind of garbage around even in joke, would certainly hurt both boys feeling

plus promoting violence

so many cute and clever things to say in life, why this

5. I really hate that boys are stupid t-shirt. I think it teaches sexism. As
to the repuke t-shirt, I think the elephant is too cute and I might not want to toss rocks at it but the parody is clever.

9. My daughters prefer the
"Boys have Cooties" shirts. They get the point across without inciting violence.
And I agree with the above poster who stated that the elephant in your picture was too cute. No republican could ever be that cute.
