my prediction: Davis Recalled and Arnold elected
I hate to see it but I really do think that voter turnout will not be very high on recall day in October (if it is actually held, there is still to be a court ruling on that). I think people are fed up with Davis and the whole recall charade and instead of actually going to the polls will stay away in droves. But recall proponents will make it to the polls and with his name recognition and Calfornians delight in doing the unexpected and/or unusual I think Davis will lose the recall and voters will elect Arnold.

Unless in the next few days a real name Democrat (sorry March Fong Eu) gets into the race--Loretta Sanchez perhaps, or maybe...we can counter Arnold's star power with a little of our own and persaude Rob Reiner or Martin Sheen to run. :)

1. Let's get started on Arnold's recall petition, shall we?
It's never too early, right? And it's only, what, 800k votes in a state with 35 million? No problem.

2. What if we ran Jerry Brown again???
I am sick and tired of this hypocracy. It's O.K for Conservative Stars to be in politics but it's not O.K for Liberals to be in politics. I am sick and tired of this shit!!! Hannity was ranting about how good this is. It is comlete B.S.

I'm sick and tired of Ar-nuld!

4. I don't think Brown would carry it off
but then again if there are lots of Republicans running (and I hear Bill Simon is gearing up) then maybe.

3. What would happen if Davis just resigned? What if he resigned after
the recall election was scheduled?

7. Too late for Davis to resign
The recall will go on unless a judge stops it.

5. I'm hoping there will be a celebrity backlash
if there is a recall election. I'd feel better about Arnold's chances if Larry Flynt, Gallagher, Gary Coleman, and some woman I saw selling campaign thongs on CNN today weren't running.

Hopefully the people who want to vote for a celebrity will spread their votes enough so a real candidate, like Arianna, will win.

8. Well, my guess is that enraged Californians will turn out in force.
But that's just me, here in NY. And my sister and my brother in law and every damn one of their San Diego friends. And my LA cousin and her lover.

Don't be so sure that you understand the level of rage.

10. Not gonna happen.
Arnold won't run, because Arnold won't win, and that would quite possibly also put a crimp in what might be left of his movie career.(Aren't they supposed to be making a "True Lies II" this year or next?)

15. Democrat mole
You could be right. I saw his press conference. He was talking about bringing back PROGRAMS like after school care, child health, elder care...talking about being 50th in education. But he did not have a plan other than to "bring back businesses that are leaving California in droves." It was weird. Just weird.
