Media Bias: Moqtada al-Sadr
I can't help but notice, every time I read something in the Western media regarding Sadr, he's always referred to as either "firebrand cleric" Moqtada al-Sadr, or "radical cleric" Moqtada al-Sadr.

Are those his official titles?

If not, I propose in the interest of fairness and journalistic objectivity (har har), that hereafter, George W. Bush be referred to as "Warmonger" President George W. Bush, or "Neocon Radical" President George W. Bush.

1. Well, he's a pretty high level cleric.
I'm guessing 15th-18th level cleric.

Wielding a +4 firebrand.

3. I agree
I am uncomfortable with the media coverage of Sadr. I thought this was about WMDs at first. Then it was Saddam is bad. Very bad. Then it was about bringing democracy to Iraq, 'cause it's their country. Now we need to kill someone who says it's their country, because too many people in Iraq might agree with him. And we can't have that.

5. Everything will be peaceful when he's gone
Just like it was going to be peaceful once Hussein was captured.
It's all his fault. They'd love us if it wasn't for him. Uh-huh.

7. Fallwell, the "firebrand cleric" declared...
a holy war against islam... geesh... another incarnation of the
crusades... do we learn from history at all... or are we bound to,
200 years from now, be running just another crusade against islam
and the infidel.
