I'm not defending Ah-nold but...........
to bash him cause his father was a Nazi is stupid and pointless. Bobby Byrd was in the KKK at one point. Ah-nold, NOT HIS FATHER GUSTAV, is on the ballot.

From the article:

"It's not a proud moment for anyone when you learn your father was a member of the Nazi Party," Hier said in an interview. "But Arnold is not his father, and Arnold has to be judged for who he is. I have always found him to be interested in the issues of the museum. He has been very friendly and supportive."

11. If that's true, then that's bashworthy.
If it turns out that his father was a nazi (in a nazi country) and that's all, then no.

2. Sins of the father may turn off fundies
"I the Lord your god am a jealous god, visiting the iniquity (awon) of the father to the third and the fourth generations of those who hate me" (Exodus 20:5, Ex. 34:7, Deuteronomy 5:9, Num. 14:18).

5. Well, Prescott Bush
W.'s Grandpa, was censored twice by the U.S. government for doing business with the Reich after war had been declared. Either Stewart or Maher said that Arnie would be a good choice for the GOP since he could translate their policies from the original German.

8. I agree
Ahnold did not live his fatha's life. I'd ratha hear about Ahnold's platform for election, now we get to hear it...Plus saddling Germans and Austrians with the crimes of their parents is really unfair.

Is there to be a debate amongst all the candidates for election? If so, who decides who to include and who to exclude? The Californis laws seem really weird, almost like they weren't meant for this to happen.

9. I agree with you.
There are other reasons that he shouldn't be the Gov. Lack of experience and his own questionable past are chief among them.

Whatever his father was is somewhat irrelevent. It's not like his father was in America supporting the Nazis, the enemy of his country. Back then, most of the well-connected Austrians were members of the Nazi party, I would guess. Remember, these are Austrians from that period we're talking about. Not a lot of choices.

12. One more issue...
Arnold is militantly anti-tax and pro corporate the whole way. He is anti regulation! It will be like having
ENRON fully in control of California!

Imagine this:

Kennith Lay-R (California Governor)
