Damn tired of hearing "we did not have clear warnings"...
what the hell, were they expecting a clear plan from osama, spelling out the time and place. The bastards warned that monkey asskroft and others but chose not to tell you and me. It is their job to fill in the blanks, why are people not saying this when they parrot that line!?!

2. Rice: "but nobody told me to do anything!"
seems to be her main excuse.

3. The least Osama could have done, or the participants, is ....
send a fax to the White House. Uh-oh, let me rephrase that. Probably would have been better if they had sent it to Senator Clinton or the Mayor of New York; and the Mayor of D.C. Or to Congress.

5. whatever happened to that story about the FBI
agents that tried to report about the strange flight-students in AZ? As I recall, somebody tried to get people's attention about that, but was ignored.

Was that story disproved, or just dropped down the memory hole?

8. Nope. There was an FBI agent, who was stationed near...
one of the Flight Schools and she reported that she had warned the Main Office repeatedly (it was verified) but I think she got in trouble for speaking out.

10. Well, then I hope to hell THAT little story comes up
That right there seems like plenty of evidence that Condi is either incompetent or outright lying.

11. Actually, there were two
Kenneth Williams in AZ who warned about the flight-school students (http://www.truthout.org/docs_02/05.24E.Very.Specific.htm) and Coleen Rowley in Minnesota who was on to Zacharias Moussaoui and couldn't get clearance to seach his computer. (http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0306-06.htm)

And, lest we forget, John O'Neill, quit his counter-terrorism job in frustration after being ordered to back off of investigations involving Saudis - and then became head of security at the World Trade Center and died on 9/11. He started his new job on 9/10.

6. These idiots.............
seem to need an inscribed invitation to a catastrophic event in order to act on intelligence. "What could we have done"? Something, anything. You did NOTHING! That is except go on the longest vacation in history only after 6 months in office. THAT was important, wasn't it?
These assholes should swing on their lies and cover ups, but I doubt it. They'll stumble and bumble their way through the election all the time politicizing 9/11 for their benefit. I hate these people.

9. Rice slipped up on this totally
She kept saying how "we all should have been on a war footing", which begs the super-obvious question: if that's what you thought, why weren't you? They had 8 months, and not a damned thing happened.

The other question it begs is: is "war" even the right model for solving this problem? But asking a deep question like that would be far too much to expect from these clowns.

One thing I'll never understand: Even guys like Clarke have gone on record as saying "nobody could expect 9/11 to be prevented". Well, how the hell will we ever know? 9 months is a long time. Who knows what they might have discovered, if they'd been paying more attention? It's fair to say there are never any guarantees, but I think too many people are acting as apologists regarding how "preventable" 9/11 was.

12. they claim there was no way to know
And even giving them that, WTF does that have to do with IRAQ? Even though more and more evidence is coming out that 9/11 might have been prevented, I can still give some benefit of doubt - try to communicate with any govt. agency and imagine them trying to intercommunicate, but IRAQ! This should be the number one issue. What in the hell are we doing there? This is where the real crime is. How can anybody justify it? I am less upset with the evil administration than with the sheep that support it. What is wrong with people?
