15. She said in testimony that it wasn't luck
contradicting what Clarke said. Xfire wrong as usual. She said alert customs officials found it without alert. She said there was only a chance of finding anything. I would think if you found something on chance that would be good luck. Tucker said it was luck so that proves he didn't listen to her testimony. Of course with such contradictory statements maybe he is as confused as the spin the GOP is trying to work on the public.

16. to be fair, unlike THAT smirking twit, I don't think he used the L word
he DID play the testimony clip you cite, so he might have been using her words, as spoken.

Crowley had no good answer for that, unfortunately, unlike Begala, who said out and out that he doesn't believe what she says anymore, cause she's lied so often

4. And when, exactly, did he get to read this still-classified document?
He's such a hopeless apologist. He must be living off the TV appearances fees.

7. Begala just nailed him with the January memo clip (Kerrey vs. Condi)
According to Cliff May, who in his previous career was surely a Circuit City salesman, it's all Clinton's fault.

8. uh oh
Tucker just sprang the one word "No" response Clarke supposedly gave Gorton

that's NOT true, according to a thread here today, right?

unfortunately, of course, Begala doesn't have counter for that,

OR Carlson's assertion that WJC had three chances to get OBL in the 90s, but didn't

Crowley said it wasn't true, but got shouted down as he said it

unfortunately, Carlson is getting over, I think, cause he just spews out the lies, then SHOUTS down the answers

this is the way it goes: May/Carlson spew a lie, Begala/Crowley attempt an answer, then are shouted down/cut off.

why do I watch this crap?

11. Gorton asked him during his testimony
something like this: was there ANY chance of stopping 911, if we knew then what we know now?

he supposedly said "No"

BUT, a DUer said that isn't accurate, and pugs are conflating two questions/answers to make it seem as if he did

I'll see if I can find the thread, from around 2PM EST today

13. here.......according to OafofOffice
Edited on Thu Apr-08-04 04:23 PM by buycitgo
The first question was, and I'm paraphrasing, if the Bush administration had enacted Clinton's plans in Afghanistan, would it have stopped 9/11? Clarke's answer was no.

The second question was, had the Bush administration done the same thing Clinton did during the Y2K threats, could 9/11 have been prevented. Clarke said, we'll never know.

The repubs have combined the two questions.

so.....they're being very deceitful, as always, and neither Begala not Crowley, of course, were up to the task of explicating this typical RW smear tactic of taking something complicated, LYING about it, the explanation of which, requires some subtlety of thought

just lay out those LIES and wait for them to be refuted
