Anyone catch CNN showing Jon Stewart clips?
That was pretty unusual for them. Good stuff too, one of them had a clip of Condi saying that info on Bin Laden had been passed to Bush and asking how much higher it could go, whereupon Jon showed a pic of Bush looking goofy and quipped "I don't know, maybe they should have told Cheney?"

Then they go straight to viewer email and seem to be trying to cherrypick, but every mail Carolyn Costello had was blistering Rice. CNN sucks but perhaps someone is starting to hedge their bets eh?

1. No, but they did
air the MoveOn.PAC ad last evening. That's a step in the right direction, too.

3. Yep, saw that too
I actually saw that ad at least 4 times yesterday on CNN. I do wish it was a better ad, the Bush voice actor was terrible I thought, but nonetheless it's a good ad and nice to see. The MoveOn people have done yeomans work, and they deserve our thanks. We need organizations like that airing ads, otherwise it all comes out of the Kerry2004 budget. The Repubs outspend us enough as it is, we need to do all we can to get the message out there.

2. CNN is competing with FOX
BUT Fox will not change from the Right Wing Rag it is. So as more and more people question Bush and give him lower numbers, it is to CNN market share to be middle of the road on things and get the middle of the roaders from Fox.

4. I Have a Suspicion
It seems to me they air things like Stewart clips in an attempt to make Democrats look ridiculous. If you notice, when they do things like this, it's usually closely followed by a so-called "hard" news story that runs totally counter to the meaning implied by the more comical presentation.

As for the e-mail she was going through, I noticed that myself. I was ignoring it actually, but I noticed her voice seemed to waver, like she was lost or something, so I looked at the screen and realized she wasn't getting what she was expecting. I bet some intern that was supposed to sort the letters and put up the ones "correct" for the message they were attempting to get across loses their position today.

5. Doesn't matter, though. Publicity is publicity
and more people who might not have watched TDS before might do so no, even if it is to just make fun of it. They might come away knowing more than they did before. *l*
