NO HOPE, even the 911 widows are diluted
Three widows on the Today show this morning; one demands the truth, one hopes for the truth, and one embraces the lie. A discouraging snapshot of America.

1. Deluded. Not diluted.
I don't normally correct grammar, but you might want to get this one right.

2. Maybe he did mean diluted?
The opinions given run the spectrum. From wanting the truth to embracing the lie. Therefore, I don't think "deluded" would have been correct because SOMEONE has to be right. However, because they run the spectrum of opinions, it does dilute their impact as a motivating factor behind getting down to the truth.

3. Thanks but
I meant diluted, as in watered down by the lack of unity. Think about it.

5. Oonions are diluted, not people (that is, widows).
As in any group of people you'll find a diversity of opinion. Even here at DU there is a diversity of opinion.

What I found interesting about the 911 widows was that those who are pro-Bush are going with a generalized feeling.

The more skeptical held fast to timelines, to actual data and to statements made about both.

And I don't think the two more skeptical women were all that far apart in their stance.

11. I would like to know if those who are pro-Bush have signed the
contract? I think it's a fair question. If they have signed the contract, then they have no interest in the 9/11 deliberations. By signing the contract, they've essentially released the government from fault.

6. I saw that interview this morning
First, that one woman who was an obvious Bush* apologist was *not* a 911 widow. Her brother died on 911 and I also saw this same woman chase down Condi and kiss up to her yesterday.

Next, I don't know what you're talking about when you say anything against the 911 widows, especially the two that were on this morning. They've been leading the charge for truth about 911 and there wouldn't be a 911 commission without them.

10. Well if you're asking me
I'd never disparage the 911 "survivors". Without them it's almost a certainty we'd never get to the truth. Their efforts are heroic. My point is, after watching the partisanship of the commission, it's discouraging to realize that ideology trumps the desire for truth even with people who lost loved ones. That's all.

12. I understand what you're saying
And I actually agree with you about the one lady who was on there-- it was like the truth didn't matter to her.

7. Indeed, a snapshot of America
But look how far we have come. On 9/12, 90% of America was deluded. I'd say that only about 30% are now deluded.

So what we have now is a dilution of opinion. The 9/11 Commission will bring into the non-deluded column another 10%, leaving 20% still deluded. Among the remaining 80% is where the dilution occurs. It will be up to us to continue the communication about what really happened and eventually unify that 80% into a more cohesive movement resultng in another 9/11 Commission next year.

We have come a long way. We will get to the bottom of this, keep the faith.

9. Boosh Regime Needs To Be Opposed Regardless
The Boosh Regime and its Banana Republican supporters needs to be opposed regardless of poll numbers and the occasional supporter the Runnin' Dubya Posse may turn up. My conscience will not allow me to sleep at night if I can't say I didn't do at least something to oppose the incompetence, arrogance, and duplicity of the worst US Presidential administration in over 100 years.

13. Was the show "Good Whoring America"?
The 9-11 widows known as the "Jersey Girls" will never back down. I think the only diluting going on is the press trying to confuse the issues brought up by Breiting, Van Auken, and the rest. Some here seem to have fallen for it.

Chris Matthews ( yes, Chris Matthews) has given them a forum on his show and they are far from hopeless. They deserve our support. In the midst of immense tragedy they have spearheaded a movement for truth. They are heroes, patriots, are strong-willed and smart and most assuredly do not have feet of clay.

15. Pro Bush "victims" of 9/11 aren't interested in getting at the truth. Most
Americans can face the cold, hard truth. That's why the ones who choose to keep their heads buried in the sand will be shuffled to the rear.
