Confederacy of Dunces: The sad, sad 9/11 Commission
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 12:25 PM by TruthIsAll
So many critical questions not asked. She took control by sheer arrogance and bullheadedness, forced the committee to back off and let her stall for time. And she is under oath, filibustering her way through. Even bulldogs like Kerrey and BenVeniste couldn't shut her up.

All this crap about pre - 9/11 Bush plans to develop a full-blown "strategy", to do away with Clinton's strategy of "swatting flies". She said it would have been "inefficient" to gather intel together to "shake the trees" when FBI warnings came from the field of suspicious terrorist activities.

The Aug. 6 PDB, if released, will be redacted. The Clinton papers, still not released.

Not one question about what actually happened on 9/11. The failure to intercept, Bush sitting at Booker long after Card whispered in his ear about the second plane, Bush's using Air Force One to "get out of harm's way". Not one question about PNAC and the need for a new Pearl Harbor, even after she herself said a "catastrophic event" is needed to arouse the populace to action.

Like using 9/11 to get at Iraq? I smell LIHOP. The stench is overwhelming now.

So the coverup is complete. You are watching the Warren Commission all over again. How do you get the truth when you don't ask the questions and let the witness filibuster?

There is only one way to get at the truth. A full blown trial.

An impeachment.

1. I would love to see a Grand Jury convened in this
but do you think that's gonna happen? I seriously doubt it.

I've watched this commissioner in several interviews, and I have a lot of confidence in her.

She said last night on Hardball that she was one of the three commissioners who had seen the August 6th PDB.

I think that means there can't be a complete coverup.

3. On TV it is being portrayed as Kerrey and BenVenista "bullying" her!
I'm so glad to see someone talk about her bulldogging her way through...The two men knew that if they didn't butt in on her she would use up all there time filibustering and they would not get the answers to their questions...I have NEVER heard anyone in the media point out this fact!

4. I thought her testimony was appalling
"verbal vomit" occurred to me. She was talking just to talk.

5. impeachment's too good for em'
this idea that they let it happen on purpose, which looks more plausible every day, would be an act of super high treason, considering thousands of americans and afghanistanis and iraqis have been murdered.

impeachment hardly seems to fit the crime

6. It is standard Totalitarian Strategy
for those rare occasions, like 1930s Germany, where incoming Totalitarianism rests next to outgoing Liberty/Democracy.

Yes, we do need an impeachment. But do you know how many the Busheviks would murder, both professionally, personally, and LITERALLY before that happened.

I don't think there's that much gut left in the Imperial Congress.
