Edwards clear favorite on Schultz show for vp
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 03:45 PM by quinnox
Most of the callers like Edwards in Ed's informal poll. A few other names mentioned were Robert Rubin, Graham, and Donald Trump (!).

It seems many are taken by Edwards stump speech about two Americas.

I'm kinda surprised by how popular Edwards is.

4. It's not a written poll, it is a radio call in show
Only one of the callers mentioned Trump, I think it was a joke, they said they wanted to see Trump say "You're fired!" to Bush and Cheney.

3. Not the least surprised.
Edwards made a very favorable impression on the voters, even those who wound up voting for Kerry.

10. High Favorability
for Edwards.

I don't think I heard anybody say a bad word about Him. The worst complaint I heard was "not enough experience." But big deal really.

6. Is the VP contender EVER
the VP choice?

It seems just about every Presidential election, the people behind the most 'popular' VP prospect wind up the most disappointed.

7. Rubin disqualified
because of his Enron antics.

When the news of Rubin's involvement first hit the morning newspapers on Jan. 12, The Washington Post headlined its story "Rubin Asked Treasury About Aid to Enron," and focused on Rubin's Nov. 8 call to senior Treasury Department official Peter Fisher. Rubin is chairman of the executive committee at Citigroup (nyse: C - news - people ), which is a big Enron creditor. He asked Fisher to consider advising the bond-rating agencies against an immediate downgrade of Enron's debt. Fisher said that for him to intervene would not be a good idea, and Rubin backed down.

don't diamonds in the rough have to be UNPOLISHED? I'm not really sure Edwards would fit that description very well.

16. Well, then, it's settled! Ed Schultz audiences always decide
VPs right? Who the hell is Ed Schultz and why isn't this thread on GD2004? I was avoiding that forum for precisely this idiotic topic/opinions.
