White House Works to Declassify Bin Laden Memo
(Reuters) - Under pressure from the 9/11 commission, the White House on Friday worked to declassify an intelligence memo that was used to inform President Bush on Aug. 6, 2001, that Osama bin Laden wanted to launch attacks inside the United States. Democratic members of the bipartisan commission investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks demanded on Thursday that the president's daily intelligence briefing for that day be released to help them with their probe.

Lets see now, this is the PDB that Bush didn't want anyone to know about. But know we know about it and the Commission wants to see it.
So now the Bushies say they are working their little buns off to get it ready.
I will bet the PDB that is OKed for viewing by the White House will read this way:

FBI Director Tenent: Good Morning Mr President

THEN PAGE AFTER PAGE OF BLACKED OUT PARAGRAPHS THAT ARE JUST TOO SECRET FOR ANYONE TO SEE.

POTUS: Well, thats it guys. I am flying to the ranch this afternoon but first, I'm gonna take a nap and have a glass of my special Ovaltine. See ya.

(Meeting adjourned.)

Boy, how'd you like to be a fly on the wall where the work is going on.

They would be blocking everything with big fat markers and we will get to see nothing.
