Stern went on vacation. While on vacation he read Al Franken's book - Lying Liars and The Liars Who Tell Them

When he got back from vacation he started exposing the Bush administrations lies and the extreme policies these radicals have implemented on his radio program.

Whether Stern's show violates obcenity codes or not is subjective. But it has always been the same show, so for Clear Channel (a corporation that has supported Bush and his cronies)
to suddenly cry foul about some vague obcenity code is disengenuous and is really just a cover to silence someone critical of Bush who has the power to bring people out to the polls on election day.

When the "controversy" first arose, Clear Channel removed Stern only from stations in the key battleground states in the upcoming Presidential election to keep those people from hearing his ripping apart of the Bush administration.

Now with the fines coming down from Michael Powell (Colon Powell's son)at the FCC, Clear Channel has removed Stern completely.
