Here is how: He told Lucianne Goldberg about Monica Lewinsky's blue dress. Lucianne told all the right-wing press about it and the right -wing press became obsessed with Bill Clinton's sex life and everything else was put on the back burner, including naitonal security. Even Louis Freeh was recruited to investigate and go after that immoral man, Bill Clinton. The Republican Congress got caught up in the frenzy and started the impeachment process. The so-called liberal media got caught up in the crowd mentality of the time and were standing there with a hangman's noose in their hands. Meanwhile, Bill Clinton was trying to get the Repubs in Congress to assist him in fighting bin Laden and the terrorists. They ridiculed him and said he was "wagging the dog". He was "bombing aspirin factories", they said. They became so obsessed with Clinton that they insisted that GWBush roll back every Clinton initiative if he wanted to keep their support. Then 9/11 happened. Who's fault was it? Matt Drudge. :)

While I respect your opinion, the logic seems a bit convoluted. Drudge is a know nothing columnist who has had one scoop in his life, albeit a big one, but still has little, if any, credibility. I hope your post was a joke.

Matt Drudge should be put in the cell formerly occupied by Jose Padilla, given a keyboard with the "W" removed and forced to listen to Air America until he can do a convincing imitation of Al Franken.

They were so single minded in their drive to destroy Clinton that they helped Al Quaida and Osama as much, or more, than if they were actually coordinating with them. I think their pursuits of Clinton were treasonous! They did not care one whit about the security of the USA!

They attacked Clinton to get a puke in office so thay could MIHOP 9-11. They wanted to do it in the 90's but Clinton put a speedbump on the road to PNAC.
