...except increasing his political power. Then, we knew that already, didn't we?

I was opposed to the war, but now that we're there, I think it's terribly vital for American interests that we make it a success. I can think of no greater disaster coming out of Bush's blunder than to have turned a contained secular country into an emboldened, Islamic terrorist breeding ground, and I keep hoping that as soon as we get some competent people in charge, there may still be a chance to salvage the situation. But it's looking increasingly like no one could fix this mess.

What a disaster. It makes me want to cry. (sniffle)

Dems and liberals aren't voting for him anyway, and he'd piss off the blood-thirsty contingent of his base to no end.
