Edited on Mon Apr-12-04 06:52 PM by Cuban_Liberal
This was just on our local news. This local Army National Guard company has been in Iraq since last March, and were scheduled to return to the Ft. McCoy, WI this past Saturday for mustering out.

Ruh roh--- doesn't sound good. :(

3. Best wishes to the friends and family of the 233rd MP
A very close and personal friend of our family just returned from Iraq after a 15 month deployment which included four separate occasions where he was promised a return stateside only to be retracted a few weeks later. His second to last order to return were revoked by his command 1.5 hours before his departure to Germany to return stateside. Aaron is finally back in the United States, however his morale and dedication to serving the Army that had once been characterized excellent fervor or servitude is severely impacted.

God bless our soldiers being delayed,

5. I know the father of one of the people in the unit.
They were told late Friday that their return had been cancelled; most were already packed and ready to head out. Needless to say, his dad is both heartbroken AND furious.
