If you have written to your senator or rep about Iraq you may be surprised to learn that it may be filtered by an automated keyword response system. An email to Sen. Feinstein with only the words: Automated keyword response test: Iraq Iraqi peope Iraq war - elicited the normal canned: "Best wishes to the Iraq people" blurb. I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised - but it did seem like a dupe.

1. I wonder what happens when you email a Repub Senator about it
The keywords "Iraq" and "Iraqi" people could trigger various responses, reflecting the changing Republican views over the past few months.

You might get something from early on, like:

"The Iraqi people will welcome us with open arms as liberators, and will be thankful to the troops and our brave President"

and

"Saddam Hussein is an evil, ruthless dictator. We must liberate the people of Iraq so that they may live in freedom."

etc, etc.

Or, maybe you will get the more recent Republican viewpoint on things. Maybe along the lines of:

"The people of Iraq are not ready for, nor do they deserve, the freedom we have provided. They should be dealt with."

and

"The Iraqi people only understand authority and brute force, and we must impose these to have any respect and credibilty."

So, what I am saying is, Republicans are sick assholes who don't really give a fuck about anyone.

Kinda off topic, but I just felt it needed to be said.

2. I wonder
if they even tally the number of letters and positions on given subjects? It seems like both parties have their minds made up on what they'll do in Iraq. No feedback needed on the subject.
