:wtf:
get this...
http://americanforum.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1466&start=0"The biggest problem I have with the new liberal talk show is that it is supported (monitarily) by the Democratic Party. Hannity and Rush are not - they got to where they were, the old fashioned way of people listening and sponsors. I would like to see how it shakes out and if this show can really make it on it's own or it has to use the crutches it was given to keep going.
I remember when Rush came on and people admitted to listening to him like they admitted to getting up on Saturday mornings and watching cartoons. Everyone did it, but they didn't talk about it. The liberal media took every pot shot at him they could and demeaned every thing he talked about. And he survived and he prospered with an ever growing audiance. We'll see what Franken can come up with - one thing, whether the Dems are paying the bill or not, he does have a right to jump in there and annoy as many people as he can!
Now Rush is #1 on the radio and Hannity is #2......and others coming up. Some have gone by the wayside like Michael Reagan (I really liked him) but there is so many more on the air. One reason for radio is that the mainstream TV news are so biased and tell you what they have determined you should know. It isn't fair reporting with both sides. I have stopped watching the news for that reason. I get tired of taping a show and then researching subjects and then getting frustrated when what was presented wasn't EXACTLY the truth."Then when I challenged him for proof...he comes back with...
"The Democratic Party Subsidizing this station has been all over the news, it's been on Sunday talk TV, it's common knowlege. I think you are the last to know (but your secret is safe with me - I won't tell). Try to keep up, OK?"A quick googe search yielded nothing remotely resembling this bullshit. Is there any truth at all to this, or is it more RW lies?
Also...I have heard that Hannity, Rushbo etc. is subsidized by Coors, Skaife, and Olin foundations. Any proof of that?
