Freeper says Democratic Party funds AAR
:wtf:

get this...

http://americanforum.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1466&start=0

"The biggest problem I have with the new liberal talk show is that it is supported (monitarily) by the Democratic Party. Hannity and Rush are not - they got to where they were, the old fashioned way of people listening and sponsors. I would like to see how it shakes out and if this show can really make it on it's own or it has to use the crutches it was given to keep going.

I remember when Rush came on and people admitted to listening to him like they admitted to getting up on Saturday mornings and watching cartoons. Everyone did it, but they didn't talk about it. The liberal media took every pot shot at him they could and demeaned every thing he talked about. And he survived and he prospered with an ever growing audiance. We'll see what Franken can come up with - one thing, whether the Dems are paying the bill or not, he does have a right to jump in there and annoy as many people as he can!

Now Rush is #1 on the radio and Hannity is #2......and others coming up. Some have gone by the wayside like Michael Reagan (I really liked him) but there is so many more on the air. One reason for radio is that the mainstream TV news are so biased and tell you what they have determined you should know. It isn't fair reporting with both sides. I have stopped watching the news for that reason. I get tired of taping a show and then researching subjects and then getting frustrated when what was presented wasn't EXACTLY the truth."

Then when I challenged him for proof...he comes back with...

"The Democratic Party Subsidizing this station has been all over the news, it's been on Sunday talk TV, it's common knowlege. I think you are the last to know (but your secret is safe with me - I won't tell). Try to keep up, OK?"

A quick googe search yielded nothing remotely resembling this bullshit. Is there any truth at all to this, or is it more RW lies?

Also...I have heard that Hannity, Rushbo etc. is subsidized by Coors, Skaife, and Olin foundations. Any proof of that?

1. It's a lie.
When a person can't cite his source, and insults you for asking his source, it's a clue about that person.

3. Bahahaha
I think you are the last to know (but your secret is safe with me - I won't tell). Try to keep up, OK?"

This is great! Keep pegging him with this! Arrogance is too often a mask for incompetence! Tell him you think he made it up and he has to prove it and keep at it!

Be sure to pre-empt it by telling him you're not going to take "I don't have to do your research for you" for an answer, and it's a cop-out, then he can't do that. Don't ever beg your opponent to be reasonable with you - demand it, and start coming at them with the fact that they're wasting your time - and after like two or three tries cut him off.

4. Also.
You don't have to prove a negative in this case. He's got you in a wild goose chase. He can always say you didn't look hard enough - don't fall for it.

7. The site is down now (problem server, happens often)
....but my original response was something like..."Where do you get this crap?" ..."Do you make it all up?" I can't remember the right words I used, but he is notorious for throwing out these innuendos without proof, and he uses the same bullshit that you said..."I don't do your homework for you." etc. I get him, like this instance, but it never sinks into his mind that he's been caught.:eyes:

9. Here's what I said in-between...
"Where do you get this crap? They are backed by investors, who expect to turn a profit within 3 years. Sounds pretty standard capitalistic for a media venture to me. Where are the balance sheets that shows the Democratic party is bankrolling this? Or are you just making this whole thing up, like you usually do?"

To which his response was the second section.

5. So what? the business moguls that pay for Rush and Fox also fund the RNC
This is trivial bullshit. FACT: he doesn't like the ideological content. Everything else is secondary.

came out last week in the press saying this, he has no shame in aknowledging his bias. Guy owns fox news, clear channel (rush, beck, drudge).

corporate special interest at its best. Murdoch coordinates his press resources with the WH. (just go to task with google..you'll find plenty out there)
