News Hour Honor Roll
I used to joke about it. What will Lehrer do when the honor roll takes up the whole 60 minutes? It became potentially absurd around the time of "Mission Accomplished." One realized that there were two contradictory intentions at play, to humanize the soldiers, and to foster solidarity behind government actions--contradictory because it is painfully obvious that the most powerful decision makers in the government don't give a rat's ass for the lives of our soldiers.

Last night the honor roll was really long. It wasn't funny at all.

1. Retire Jim Liar
I refuse to watch Jim Liar and his endless Republican propaganda.

The time has come to pull the plug on PBS and NPR since they are nothing but endless GOP propaganda.

2. They have become whores, like the rest
Dependent upon right wing corporate dynasties for cash, constantly under threat from the right wingers in government, and instead of standing up and fighting like an INDEPENDENT MEDIA would do, they cower and lick boots. They are relatively better than Fox, but that isn't saying much. Disgusting.

3. Recalling the 2000 debates...
I remember ol' Jim's obvious disdain for Gore and I've held him in low regard ever since.
