Who remembers the wildest assassination attempt on Clinton?
A man tried to fly a plane into the White House bedroom, but crashed on the lawn just short? Remember? Plane as missile!

8. He was a typical Freep. Never flew before. Just read up on how to do it
And figured that meant he knew how.

Taking off is easy. Landing is really tricky. A simple pilot's course would have taught this guy about ground effect, stalls, air speed, and a bunch of other things he would have needed experience to do. Even then landing into a precise point vertically as well as horizantally would be hard.

Like Republicans trying to understand the economy. No clue. They hear someone give a generalization, and take it as an axiom without any variations, without any room for the effects of the real world. They claim Democrats should take economics 101. We have, and have moved on to graduate level econ, where they explain why econ 101 doesn't work. Repubs never think things through that far, though.

Hmm. I wandered a bit there, didn't I?

4. Plus there's the Simpsons
In Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming he pilots the right brothers plane towards the abandoned defense shack out on the salt flats in order to kill Krusty the Clown.
