New Reports on U.S. Planting WMDs in Iraq

Fifty days after the first reports that the U.S. forces were unloading weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in southern Iraq, new reports about the movement of these weapons have been disclosed.

An Iraqi source close to the Basra Governor’s Office told the MNA that new information shows that a large part of the WMD, which was secretly brought to southern and western Iraq over the past month, are in containers falsely labeled as containers of the Maeresk shipping company and some consignments bearing the labels of organizations such as the Red Cross or the USAID in order to disguise them as relief shipments.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, added that Iraqi officials including forces loyal to the Iraqi Governing Council stationed in southern Iraq have been forbidden from inspecting or supervising the transportation of these consignments. He went on to say that the occupation forces have ordered Iraqi officials to forward any questions on the issue to the coalition forces. Even the officials of the international relief organizations have informed the Iraqi officials that they would only accept responsibility for relief shipments which have been registered and managed by their organizations.

A professor of physics at Baghdad University also told the MNA correspondent that a group of his colleagues who are highly specialized in military, chemical and biological fields have been either bribed or threatened during the last weeks to provide written information on what they know about various programs and research centers and the possible storage of WMD equipment.

I think Bush may plan to announce this TONIGHT.

Something is really, really fishy about the Liar In Chief having this news conference tonight. I expect some pronouncement that is intended to save his sorry ass, but I'm not psychic enough to know just what it is.

There would be too much time between now and election day to uncover that they were faked. It would need to be close to the election so the truth wouldn't come out in time.

numbers on them. Their movement prior and subsequent can therefore be traced. I would guess that they will be refrigerated units (putting WMD's in food use containers is something of an issue itself).

It is also likely that they would have to be shipped on US Flag vessels.

That said, I think the number of persons involved with such a plot would be too large to keep things under wraps.

This has the smell of an urban legend to me.

I have no doubt that the Bush Administration would sink to this level to get re-elected, it's just that the risks are formiddable.

but otherwise mostly correct. Most container ships sail under Liberia or Panama flags nowadays though, no matter what country the operator is based in. And of course containers can only be traced when its movement is being recorded. Here in the container business we usually find out several times a day where a given box is, but if the railroad fails to send us that info, we are clueless.

I used to be amazed that we hadn't heard anything about 'finding' WMD yet, then I realized that it plays better for Bush to wait. For one thing, it's less time before the election to get the hoax de-bunked, and secondly if you wait, your opponents will start talking about how wrong you were about WMD...

Do you think that all the soldiers down there support Bush fully?? I agree, this sounds like an urban legend. The soldiers I know have morals, and they would not go along with something like this.

colleagues. IMO, they will do anything they can get away with, no matter how diabolical, to retain power. They have already stolen an election, and, without apparent conscience, lied us into a war.

Retaining power for the next four years is absolutely critical to the PNAC agenda of using the US, and the people and resources of the US, as an unchallengeable domestic and worldwide police force. The PNAC has openly stated their plan and goals for empire, and the Bu$h administration has numerous PNAC members in high level positions, and is already functioning as a vehicle for achieving the goals of the PNAC. It is no coincidence that the Bu$h administration is stacked with PNAC members. IMO, an unstated goal of the PNAC is to use America, and Americans, as tools to protect transnational corporate interests throughout the world. And they will do anything and everything possible to achieve this goal, through any means, and no matter what the cost.

And we are nothing more than expendable indentured servant/peasants to them.

A possible scenario:

The "discovery" of these planted WMD will be announced within a month of the 2004 election. This timing will make Bu$h look like a hero to Americans, and will not allow sufficient time for any news to come out that proves that the WMD were planted.

The "discovery" of these planted WMD would lead to a Bu$h victory, and insure that the rethugs retain control of the House, Senate, and, subsequently, SCOTUS and the rest of the Federal Judiciary, the FCC, the FEC, etc. A military draft will be instituted to insure a sufficient domestic and worldwide police presence, in order to insure that any form of opposition to empire could be contained. Any form of protest would be futile, or outrightly suppressed.

With this much control, and no possibility of challenge through any democratic process, Bu$h and the PNAC will no longer have to worry about what the people of the US want.

After the election, even if it is proven that the WMD were planted, it will be too late. Democracy in the US will be toast. The US will have a totalitarian PNAC controlled government.

If they really are planting these WMD, I hope someone is watching closely and can indisputably prove this to the world ASAP, or we are in very serious trouble.

Because nothing is more critical to our individual and collective security, freedom, and well-being than removing Bu$h and the PNAC from power in 2004.
