Let's Assume Its Scripted - H0w's It Happen?
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 12:31 PM by Kong
Of course I don't expect any suprises tonight, in fact I probably won't watch (I would immagine C-Span will rerun testimony tonight and I fine it far more interesting). I think we all expect the press conference to be 'scripted' meaning that questions that Bush has prepared for have been planted in the press corps and only those reporters (sic) who hold the approved questions will have a chance to query the President.

Here is my question, and I only do this out of curiosity, where and when do the select menbers of the press corps get the questions? Do you think the actual questions are prepared by the White House (Rove?) and FAXed, phone in, given over by hand? It just seems to me that if evidence could be displayed of the collusion between press and President could be shown clearly that it would cause Bush to be rejected by a lot of people.

1. Seating Chart
Not sure about how it happens but I did hear on CNN that Bush will have a "seating chart" because there are certain reporters he wants to call on. Yeah, I'm sure there are.

2. the press corps don't get the questions from the WH
they give the questions to the WH in advance so the chimp has no surprises. Karen & Karl will give the answers to the preselected questions to him. He will be busy drilling today, thats why he looked so grumpy coming back to D.C. today.

Now thats what you call planning: rule number #1 on how to be the master of your own life.

3. Maybe not "scripted" but overly rehearsed.
They know who are apt to ask the simple questions that can be answer with talking points and stump speech retorts. And even when someone asks a "tough" one (and they won't)the Crooked One will just throw out the resolve- won't leave until the job is done-thugs don't want democracy-they hate everything we stand for drivel. I hope the press treats him like the lying murdering coward he is and shows him no respect. Naw! That ain't gonna happen.
