Wouldn't Clinton's republican congress be to blame for the low FBI budget.

Congress has the checkbook, the executive branch just implements the law they create with the funding that congress provides.

that's just Civics / Constitutional Law 101.

I still don't understand how the likes of Ashcroft ever were allowed to get law degrees.

Congress is the one to set the actual amounts.

Ashcroft just proved he doesn't know shit about how the government works.

They can play 'blame Clinton' and then watch the Repblicans running for their lives in Novemeber.

Our job is to help educate the US population that does not understand that it is the Congress who handles the checkbook. Make sure people start asking their Republican reps how come THEY didn't give more $$ to fight terrorism.

Hold the heat to Congress and watch them bail on the malAdministration.
