Discussion thread for the press conference
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 07:55 PM by JoFerret
We're changing the world. Questions just beginning.
What's with the tie? And does it prevent the advance of freedom? He is beginning to blather.
Here we go with the gathering threat and etc.
He links 9/11 - see....LOL.
He is running out the clock.

1. When he tied the aQ bombing in Madrid with the Iraqi insurgency,...
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 08:01 PM by Just Me
,...I blew a vein. He is as near as can be to a hitler reborn with goebbels coaching his propaganda of evil. That is my personal opinion. These freon neocons will manipulate and abuse to achieve their imperialist objectives, good or bad. They are as a cult completely saturated in their own world-view, and they aim to get what they seek to achieve.

The future will be tremendously difficult.

On edit > I promised myself I would avoid watching,...and only exposed my "beautiful mind" to about ten seconds. THAT was enough!!!

3. Paging General Reginald Dyer: Time to put down the "natives"
Take home message: Bush has ordered a crack-down by the military in Iraq.

Bush can't afford a slow drip-drip-drip of American casualties over the next several weeks, so he's going for a major crackdown; any adverse publicity about indiscriminate bombing or shelling, collateral damage, or overreactions by American troops will be of interest mainly to the Left, and will drop out of the news cycle quickly.

4. He's making a monkey out of himself now
Lying fast and furious-looks like a chimp-making no sense, a fast shuffle on why we went into Iraq. Now they are asking about 911-any sense of personal responsibility? He's evading the question! Talking about killing OBL, his blood not boiling....how outraged, angry and sad....feels grief for the incredible loss of life they feel...going off into having Homeland Security Dept....Patriot Act an important change in law.....no way he's going to apologize or cop to any responsibility. Yuck.

5. I can't watch him.
He is soooooooo bad. He answers the questions with pre rehearsed, over the top, badly acted speeches.

He sure fumbled Terry Moran's question, didn't he? Who is Charlie? The guy that said that there WERE weapons of mass destruction found. When he said the oil revenues have been just fine I had to walk out.

:puke:

10. Didn't make any mistakes, huh.
Reporter asked him if he thought he made any mistakes in this War on "Terra" and all he could say was that the country wasn't on a war footing and yet we were fighting an unseen enemy.

(Besides, Ashcroft already told the world it's Clinton's fault.)

Pass that buck. The arrogance knows no bounds. No apologies, no admissions of failure.

Way to go reporter.

And the response? "um, uh, er...."

The person responsible for the attacks was OBL....

Therefore, why the hell do *I* have to apologize?

That's just nauseating. "Compassionate Conservative," my a**. I guess to offer an apology would admit guilt, or responsibility, for what happened.

...after talking about how it makes him sick to see the suffering of the families involved, says "Osama bin Laden is responsible. HE killed those people. And we will not rest until we bring people to justice."

But he said NOTHING about bringing OBL to justice (nor did he apologize).

Job of pres. is to leave behind legacy...
fear. Learn from lessons and mistakes. Can you win war on terror? Of course. A free society raise child to get education. NK people who starve. AIDS. Freedom. Stay the course.
