All we need is an unscripted debate, and Kerry will put this one away
If we have something like several of the primary debates, where the moderator grandstands and shields the candidates from rebuttal, then the press can claim some degree of equivalence between the two.

Say what you want about Kerry, but he can at least string a coherent sentence together! I've never been so ashamed of my country. HOW could a man such as Bush EVER ascend to the highest office of our nation? It's a disgrace, and a shame I feel very personally every time he presumes to speak for me. All Kerry would have had to do to shut him down was follow up on his 'if we leave Iraq, the soldiers died in vain.' The easy response?

'Do you believe those who died in Vietnam lost their lives in vain? I do not--their legacy will always guide me and my actions in the office of the presidency.'

1. Kerry will mop the floor
with him. The question is, will they let Junior debate?

2. One problem

Is Kerry will make Bush look so much like a choad our good ole' Americana "root for the underdog" mentality will come out.

And there are many voters who get scared if you can string sentences that contain more than 4 words in them.

Having said that, I certainly can't wait for the debates and expect Kerry to take care of this brainless twit.

3. another problem
wasn't that the beleif during the Bush /Gore debates as well?

Just becuase Shrub is an idiot doesn't mean he can't smooz. Especially when you consider that Shrub has shown he has no qualms whats so ever about flat ou tlying. HE did it during the last debate (remeber that bill he supported that he really vetoed?)

Until now, Shrub has never gotton in trouble for lying. It has served him well. Why would the debates with kerry be any different?

4. There will be no unscripted debate.
The Repugs will set the debate terms and Kerry will agree to them.

The media will portray the debates (no matter the format) as examples of Bush* rising above expectations. They'll find one small misstatement by Kerry an run that into the ground.

The "debates" will not help Kerry. You can count on that.
