He sounds so intelligent and he THINKS!
After that speech from Bush, intelligence is needed from someone.

2. Alan Colmes is an idiot
After tonight's press conference, in which Bush totally ignored Afghanistan and repeated the same old B-S sound bites, Alan Colmes wastes time digging in to Wes Clark's Presidential run.

5. Not interested in VP - does that me No? I don't think so
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 09:32 PM by elbayl
I saw Fox, yes he did say not interested. But when asked directly if would accept it - he did not say no. He said he has a private life now.

If asked I think he'll do it. Don't they all say they aren't interested Ok all except Graham. Edwards, Richarhson, et al have said no but if asked they'd all say yes.

6. I think he's telling the truth
He is not looking for it. But if asked, he would see it as his duty, absolutely.

7. His Duty - yes. Especially as a military man.
Edited on Tue Apr-13-04 09:35 PM by elbayl
He would see it as his duty to say yes to the next Commander in Chief. Personally, I think he would love the challenge of Iraq.

What the hell is he going to do in private life that would challenge him as a former commander?

9. I do see him in the Kerry administration
In some way or other heavily involved in foreign policy/national security. I can't see him staying in the private sector when his country needs him. I don't necessarily see the VP role as the one and I believe him when he says he is not looking for it. His single political goal right now is to get Kerry elected. He will help Kerry save the country in whatever way he is needed, of that I have no doubt.

11. Of course he'll take it if offered. Wes is playing it just right--and I'm
sure he and Kerry worked it all out long ago.

Wes is playing it 'way cool--unlike poor John Edwards, who's making a damn fool of himself by trying 'WAY too hard.

So here's the way to look at it: imagine the Dem VP candidates as women competing for a very handsome and desirable suitor.

So who wins in the end? The "easy" woman who climbs all over her suitor, crying "Choose ME! I LOVE you! We'll be so GOOD together! Choose ME! Choose ME!"

or the beautiful, mysterious woman who plays hard to get?
