Anyone catch the shot of Card, Rice and Rove?
As Mr. Public Speaker uhmed his way through an answer, at least on CNN, they got a shot of Andrew Card, Condi Rice and Karl Rove. All three looked horrified, especially Rove. No one was smiling; they clearly were embarrassed for their boss.

She looked grim and grave.

I thought she might be thinking:

"I can't believe that big doofus is out here spinning this frat-boy as General Jesus shit to save our collective asses. All I want is a tenured professor spot at Stanford, not to be blamed for being the cause of thousands of innocent deaths and hated by most of the world."

I noticed that, too. And every time I see KKKarl Rove, I think of the word "pasty." Awful, anemic-looking porker. Looks like he's lived his whole life under a rock, out of the sun. I noticed mainly the two of them, not Andy Card so much. But Contradicta looked REALLY sullen. I'm now calling her Dr. Do-Little, also.

She had that same look of "If I keep my mouth and chin very rigid maybe I can keep it down" -- mingled with a note of terror in the eyes -- than my kids used to get, when they were little, just before they had to make that dash to the bathroom.

Not a happy lady.

Andrew Card is the White House Chief of Staff. The balding fellow to Condi's right was Karl Rove.

20. The woman reporter on Tweety (Norah?) mentioned this.
She said it was not the main camera but the "cut aside" (?) camera but she and other journalists saw their reaction. I wonder if anybody has it recorded and can provide it to Jon Stewart.

27. WHY.....
....can't Dr. Rice learn how to sit like a professional woman should? She sits like a football player. And if she has to sit like that, why can't she wear a professional-length skirt? It's outrageous for a woman in her position to not have better presentation.
