local ABC affiliate pounding b* & Mitch Daniels distancing himself from*
This morning the local ABC affiliate here is making very pointed comments in their morning news show about how Bush totally ignored some of the tough questions, changed the subject often, and gave canned replies or non-answers last night. They are pointing out commentary from last night's NIGHTLINE that is showing the emporer* has no clothes. Did anyone see Nightline last night? The affiliate is also pointing out that there were (gasp!) followup questions that had never happened before, and which of course the ass* monkey couldn't handle at all. I noticed they are also patting themselves on the back that two of the instances were ABC reporters at the press conference, mentioned Terry Moran by name. hey maybe the Moran got a brain !

Another thing I have noticed here in the past month. The Mitch Daniels for Governor campaign is DISTANCING itself from chimpy*.
Tell me if you think I am correct here. About a month ago there were appearances by Daniels in both the print and tv media one day where he made a very BIG deal about there being NO NEED for the pretzeldent to come here and campaign for him ! He was sure there were other places that chimpy needed to be more than Indiana, and other candidates around the country who needed him more than Mitch the Twit.
Also every Sunday night Daniels has been running an infomercial on the Faux affiliate at 11:30 pm or so. He takes this rv around the state and talks to people. A couple weeks ago they showed this older guy who feigned that he didn't know what party Daniels was and then when told he was a repuke said somethinmg like "Can't vote for you, Bush lied and soldiers died!" They actually showed it in the infomercial! Then toward the end of the infomercial they showed that guy with several others who were "warming up" to Mitch the Twit !!Like he might be an ok dude. yeah right.

maybe it is just me but I detect Daniels distancing himself from Bush. If a gop in Indiana is distancing himself, what will happen elsewhere. Something tells me Chimpy could be a very lonely man this fall on the campaign trail.

ps- I took a shower after watching that infomercial.

1. Does he have a primary opponent that the RNC is backing?

2. Daniels has a fundy opponent that Otis Bowen is backing
Edited on Wed Apr-14-04 06:33 AM by sinookas
A social issues guy, Eric Miller. Otis Bowen was a former Indiana Governor (very popular) and Reagan's Secretary of Health, Human Services--Bowen is in commercials for Miller. But just this a.m. I saw a commercial with Lugar backing Daniels. I am almost tempted to go vote for Miller in the gop primary just for the hell of it. My guess is that the RNC is staying out of this for now? But there may be more than meets the eye.

5. Daniels in the getting-angry mid-west
We are seeing the emergence of a very powerful demographic. The paradigm of the south being the most pandered to/courted region is about to be broken. Many mid-west states were won/lost by pretty narrow margins. The are worth many electoral votes.
