2. Much less the Iraqis......
who are, in the words of an Iraqi blogger, searching through a pool of blood to find what's left of their son, husband, child etc.

Dead bodies make George look like a monster and a failure...
...which is why the American media is cooperating with his demands not to show the results of his errant foreign policy.

5. That's the only reason Bush even cares about dead bodies.
Because they are on tv and hurt him politically. He could care less about the real people getting maimed and killed because of his illegal war.

7. Thanks scarface,
that was the absolutely number one most disgusting thing he said in an entire hour of bullshit.

I was trying to remember just how he said it. He was saying that he understood how "tough" things have been for America this week. Truly a twisted individual.

Maybe somebody can find this in a transcript. Otherwise, future generations won't believe it.

11. From Transcript
I don't plan on losing my job. I plan on telling the American people that I've got a plan to win the war on terror. And I believe they'll stay with me. They understand the stakes. Look, nobody likes to see dead people on their television screens -- I don't. It's a tough time for the American people to see that. It's gut-wrenching. One of my hardest parts of my job is to console the family members who have lost their life. It is a -- it is -- it's a chance to hug and weep and to console and to remind the loved ones that the sacrifice of their loved one was done in the name of security for America and freedom for the world.

And one of the things that's very important, Judy, as far as I'm concerned, is to never allow our youngsters to die in vain. And I made that pledge to their parents. Withdrawing from the battlefield of Iraq would be just that. And it's not going to happen under my watch.

By the way.... what the hell does this mean: "One of my hardest parts of my job is to console the family members who have lost their life."

We have a new Bushism, folks.

8. Especially his mother, who doesn't want to waste her beautiful mind on 'em
Edited on Wed Apr-14-04 10:17 AM by GreenPartyVoter
''Why should we hear about body bags and deaths and how many, what day it's gonna happen?'' Mrs. Bush declared. ''It's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?''
