Ted Olson on "backward looking."
Edited on Wed Apr-14-04 08:27 AM by TNDemo
I flipped by this buffoon (who seems to happily support Bush instead of wanting to know why his wife was killed) for a minute today (have no idea what channel) and he was talking about the 9/11 commission and how all this backward looking stuff doesn't help us, that we need to look forward to try to prevent more terror attacks (of course you learn from where you made mistakes...). All I could think about was how "backwood looking" the Lewinsky thing was. It was a blow job several years earlier in a relationship that was over. That was worth tens of millions of dollars to investigate and "educate" our children on oral sex (thanks for making my children listen to the details for months on end on a daily basis) and kept Clinton from keeping the focus on Bin Laden, especially since the FBI agents were all combing his pants.

6. Riiight, learning from the past is impossible
The cruiseline people shouldn't have questioned the fate of the Titanic. Deciding on appropriate safety measures so that lives wouldn't be lost in the future shouldn't have been important then, and it shouldn't be important now. And War is Peace.

7. I saw him this morning and thought karma's a bitch
I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but if his late wife and wingnut friends weren't so intense on raking in the $$$$'s by daily ripping of everything Bill and Hilary Clinton did and instead had let him focus on his job, maybe 9-11 wouldn't have happened.

Karma's a bitch Ted and it's too bad you can't wean yourself from the koolaid long enough to see you, your late wife and your wingnut friends have as much blood on your hands as UBL and his 19 friends.

9. One possible explanation.....
Somebody opined that--just suppose they expected "conventional" hijackings--Wouldn't it be great if some sympathetic reporter could be a witness?

After the exciting rescue--with only a few casualties--she could then give a Pulitzer winning account. But "the players got played" (phrase is not original).

I agree that he never exhibited much sorrow.

10. This shit's getting sick....
I don't care if you hate the guy - but his wife was murdered for God's sake.

Sometimes I wonder if some of these posts have even a millisecond's worth of thought put into them before they're typed.

12. Well, the police usually find it suspicious
when a murder victim's next-of-kin or spouse seem anxious NOT to have the crime investigated and just want to "move on" with their lives.

Good Lord Almighty! If I had a spouse murdered along with 3000 other people I would not REST until every stone was overturned for answers. I wouldn't care WHO was the fucking president!
